In order to properly remove a mirror glued to a wall, you will need a knife, some kind of heat source, preferably a small heat gun, tape, a saw and safety glasses for protection. For the knife, typically a putty knife or one with a flat end will work. Start by taping the mirror to ensure the glass won’t go everywhere if it shatters. Next, heat the glue that attaches the mirror to the wall.

Make sure you keep the heat gun a safe distance away from the mirror, 6-12 inches is perfect. Heat the mirror’s edges and make your way to the center. Slide the knife in between the back of the mirror and the wall to pry a corner. Finally, grab the saw and a helper and carefully slide the saw in between the mirror and wall to lift it off.
