Full-service removal breakdown

Scrap Wood disposal service details

Scrap wood removal is priced based on the volume and weight of the pile. A small stack of offcuts or fence boards takes up less truck space than a full deck teardown or multiple sheets of plywood, so the two jobs are priced differently. Access also factors in: wood staged on a driveway or curbside is straightforward, while a pile deep in a backyard or garage may affect the job scope.

You do not need to bundle, stack, or prep the wood before your Loaders arrive. Nails, screws, and hardware still in the boards are not a problem.

Wood and lumber we pick up

LoadUp accepts a wide range of scrap wood and wood debris left over from construction, renovation, and general property cleanup.

  • Dimensional lumber
  • Plywood sheets and offcuts
  • Old decking boards
  • Fence boards and posts
  • Wood pallets
  • Molding and trim
  • Wood framing scraps
  • Demolition wood debris

Scrap wood pickup typically starts around $65, though your final price depends on the volume and weight of the pile, where it's located on your property, and whether you book curbside or in-home service. A small stack of offcuts costs less than a full deck teardown or multiple sheets of plywood. You'll see your total upfront before you confirm, so there are no surprise charges on pickup day.

Your Loaders pick up dimensional lumber, plywood sheets and offcuts, old decking boards, fence boards and posts, wood pallets, molding and trim, framing scraps, and general demolition wood debris. If it's loose wood left over from a construction, renovation, or teardown project, it generally qualifies. Wood that is still attached to a standing structure, installed flooring or subflooring that hasn't been removed, and any hazardous or contaminated wood cannot be taken.

No prep is required. You can leave the pile as-is and your Loaders will gather it. If the wood is scattered across a garage, backyard, or job site, they'll collect it from wherever it ended up. Stacking or staging it in one spot can make the job faster, but it's not something you need to do.

No. Nails, screws, brackets, and other hardware still in the boards are not a problem for your Loaders. You don't need to pull hardware or do any prep work on that front before they arrive.

Treated and painted wood is generally accepted for removal. However, because of its composition, it has limited recycling and reuse options compared to clean lumber. Disposal outcomes depend on wood condition and what facilities are available in your area. Creosote-soaked railroad ties and wood mixed with or saturated by hazardous materials are not accepted.

Usable or clean lumber may be sorted for reuse or recycling where local options allow, keeping salvageable material out of the landfill when possible. The rest is disposed of responsibly. Your Loaders make disposal decisions on-site based on the condition of the wood and what's available locally, so a specific outcome cannot be guaranteed for every load.
