The Problem

Natick has junk options, just not easy ones

You check the town website, call about bulk items, then request hauler quotes. One wants to visit first, another never calls back. Two weekends later, the junk is still sitting in the garage.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Natick's municipal pickup can handle some bulky items, but you have to schedule ahead and get everything to the curb yourself. Mattresses and screen electronics fall under Massachusetts disposal rules, and a basement full of mixed junk rarely fits the program's limits.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to see the job in person before they give a number, then price by fractions of a truckload. You won't know the final cost until they're in your driveway, and by then the junk is half loaded.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Donation centers want items in good, sellable shape, so a scratched dresser or a recliner with a worn arm often gets turned away. You still have to load it and drive it over, and whatever they refuse comes back home with you.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A dumpster takes up your driveway for days, may need a permit if it sits on the street, and gives neighbors an eyesore to stare at. For one attic or spare room, it's far more container and more hassle than the job needs.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Natick, all the way down to the Charles River

Route 9 on a Saturday is its own kind of obstacle course, and a dresser strapped to a borrowed truck does not help. Your Loader does the lifting from the basement, garage, or upper-floor unit and loads it up, so you keep your weekend. Natick neighbors deserve that, and your Loaders like showing up for them.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Bulky items pile up fast during a Natick move or cleanout, and where they end up matters as much as getting them out. Your Loader sorts by condition, so reusable pieces stay in circulation when possible.

Local Disposal Rules

The Natick disposal rules most residents don't know

A load containing state-banned materials can be refused at Massachusetts disposal facilities, so here is what applies to cleanouts in Natick and throughout Middlesex County.

Rule 01

Winter storm limbs can only be burned during a narrow season

MassDEP limits open burning of brush to January 15 through May 1, only in towns that allow it and only with a local fire department permit. Burning leaves, grass, household trash, or construction debris is prohibited statewide.

Rule 02

Mattresses and box springs are banned from Massachusetts trash

Since November 2022, MassDEP has prohibited mattresses and box springs from disposal or transfer for disposal. Their steel, foam, wood, and fabric can be recovered, so worn mattresses from a bedroom cleanout must be routed to a recycler instead.

Rule 03

Renovation debris must pass through a sorting facility

Massachusetts bans asphalt pavement, brick, concrete, metal, wood, and clean gypsum wallboard from disposal. Mixed demolition loads from a kitchen or bath remodel must go to a processing facility that pulls out these materials before anything is landfilled.

Rule 04

Old tube TVs cannot go out with regular trash

Massachusetts has banned cathode ray tube TVs and computer monitors from disposal since 2000 because the glass contains lead. Bulky older sets from basements and dens need an electronics recycling route, and municipal collection programs may charge a per-item fee.

Rule 05

Refrigerators and other large appliances need refrigerant recovery first

Massachusetts bans large appliances, known as white goods, from disposal. Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners hold refrigerants that federal rules require be recovered before the unit is scrapped, keeping ozone-depleting gases out of the air.

Rule 06

Even stained or torn clothing counts as recyclable textiles

Massachusetts added textiles to its waste ban in November 2022, covering clothing, shoes, linens, and similar fabric items. Worn-out pieces that cannot be donated still have value as rags or fiber, so closet purges should be bagged for textile recycling.

Not without scheduling it. Natick's DPW Bulky Trash Pickup covers up to 5 items for $50, whether you book 1 or 5. Request by 3:00pm Thursday for the following Monday. Bags aren't taken, and the DPW line is 508-647-6550.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Natick starts at $105, with $5 off for curbside or driveway pickup. The first item includes the base pickup fee and each additional item is a flat add-on, with the exact total confirmed before booking. The town's bulky pickup is $50 for up to 5 items.

Same-day and next-day slots are often available, depending on your address and the schedule. Enter your Natick address during booking to see live openings. The town's bulky program is slower, since pickup comes the Monday after a Thursday 3:00pm cutoff.

Construction material and some oversized items are excluded from the town's bulky pickup. Mattresses, box springs, TVs, laptops and monitors cost an extra $35 each. CRT screens are banned from Massachusetts landfills. Paint, batteries and oil go to the Recycling Center at 101 West St.

Loaders aim to keep usable items out of the landfill. They try to donate furniture and household goods to local charities when options allow. They also recycle metal and other materials depending on acceptance. Whatever can't be donated or recycled goes to an appropriate disposal facility.

Not for curbside or driveway pickups. Leave the items out with access notes and your Loader will handle it. For items inside your home, someone should be present, or you can give access instructions at booking. You'll get a heads-up before the Loader arrives.

The pricing model. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King usually price by truckload, often confirmed in person. LoadUp prices per item online, so your total is set before booking. For large cleanouts, a truckload hauler may suit you better.
