Junk has a way of piling up until it's one more thing on the list nobody wants to tackle. Book a quick pickup with LoadUp and see your real price before you commit.
You search the village website, call to ask what qualifies, and leave voicemails for a few haulers. One calls back with a vague quote, the others never do. Meanwhile the junk keeps sitting in the garage.
Municipal pickup schedules can be a big help for routine waste, but bulky items often need advance requests, and limits apply to size and type. Appliances, electronics, and renovation debris may not qualify, and you still have to get everything to the curb yourself.
Many haulers want to stop by for an in-person estimate first, then price by how much of the truck you fill. That fraction is their call, made on the spot, so the final number can look very different from the one you heard on the phone.
Donation centers need items they can actually resell, so a scuffed dresser, a worn recliner, or a stained rug may get turned away. Even accepted pieces usually have to be dropped off by you, and broken or outdated electronics rarely make the cut.
A roll-off sounds simple until you're coordinating delivery and pickup windows, checking whether a permit or HOA approval applies, and parking a giant bin on the driveway for days. For clearing one basement room or a single shed, it's far more container than the job needs.

Around here, Sundays belong to the Packers, and the other six days get eaten by snow, school pickups, and a garage that quietly filled up all winter. Nobody wants to spend a game weekend borrowing a truck for dump runs. Your Loaders carry it out, and they genuinely like showing up for neighbors here.
Bulky items are hard to move alone, and where they end up matters as much as getting them out. In Harrison, your Loader sorts each item by condition, favoring donation or recycling when possible before disposal.
Furniture, exercise equipment, and household goods in clean, usable shape may be set aside for donation when possible. Your Loader carries them out, and acceptance depends on what local options allow.
Items that are worn or damaged but still have usable materials, like metal frames, appliances, or old electronics, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates them from the rest of the load.
Heavily damaged, soiled, or broken bulky items, such as a water-ruined sofa or torn-up carpet, go to disposal when nothing else fits. Your Loader handles the loading so you skip the dump run.
A load with banned materials in it can be turned away, and illegal burning or burying can bring enforcement. Here are the rules that apply to cleanouts in Harrison and Calumet County.
Wisconsin law keeps leaves, grass clippings and brush under six inches in diameter out of landfills. After leaves fall in autumn or storms bring down limbs in spring, take this material to a yard waste site or compost it instead of bagging it with trash.
Wisconsin lets you use clean soil, brick, building stone, concrete, broken pavement and unpainted or untreated wood as fill. Drywall, roofing, insulation and mixed demolition debris can't be used as fill. They have to go to a licensed disposal or recycling facility.
Wisconsin bans TVs, computer monitors, desktop and laptop computers, and cell phones from landfills and incinerators. The state's E-Cycle Wisconsin program lists registered collection sites where residents can recycle these devices the right way.
Wisconsin's open burning rules ban burning garbage, plastics, rubber, asphalt shingles, and painted or treated wood. Recyclables can't be burned either. The smoke carries toxic compounds, and burning these materials can lead to state enforcement action.
Wisconsin bans major appliances from landfills. Appliances that hold refrigerant, such as refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers and air conditioners, must have it recovered by a certified technician before they're scrapped. Releasing the refrigerant yourself breaks state and federal rules.
Wisconsin keeps waste tires out of landfills, so they can't go in household garbage. Tire retailers and registered tire collection sites usually accept them for recycling, sometimes for a fee per tire.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Harrison starts at $90, and curbside or driveway pickup takes a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. The exact total is confirmed before booking.

Not for curbside or driveway pickups. Leave the items out with any access notes. For items inside your home or garage, someone should be there, or you can give access instructions when booking. Your Loader will update you before arriving.
Hazardous materials such as paint, solvents, pesticides, and chemicals usually can't go in regular trash or with a standard junk pickup. Calumet County and nearby landfills run their own rules for these, so confirm with them before disposing of anything restricted.
Loaders aim to keep usable items out of the landfill. Depending on acceptance, they try to donate furniture and household goods to local charities and recycle metal, cardboard, and electronics whenever possible. Items that can't be donated or recycled go to an appropriate disposal facility.
You list your items online, get a price, and choose a time window. The total is confirmed before anyone arrives. On pickup day, your Loader shows up, confirms the items, hauls them away, and handles the heavy lifting from wherever they sit.
The pricing model is the main difference. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King generally price by truck space and may estimate on site. LoadUp prices by item online, so your total is set before booking. For a large cleanout, a truckload hauler may suit you better.
