Appliances containing Freon or other refrigerants are accepted only at Appeal Landfill, where the chemicals are properly drained before recycling. Scheduling a county bulk pickup for a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner requires an $11 prepayment first.
Doors, carpeting and flooring materials, wallboard, lumber, windows, sinks and toilets, cabinets, counter tops and roofing materials are accepted only at Appeal Landfill. Adding household trash or recyclables to chargeable items makes it a mixed load, and the current tip fee applies.
