Under Section 310 of the Village Code, Fox Point Public Works will not pick up diseased or dead ash or elm trees from private property. Contractors hired to trim or remove any tree must also take away all of the debris.
Some household hazardous waste items cannot go in weekly garbage and are not eligible for village special pickups. The village sends residents to Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District collection centers, which dispose of these materials properly. The village also cannot pick up batteries or chemicals.
Fox Point does not accept household appliances and white goods, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, and dehumidifiers, and cannot dispose of them for residents. The village points residents to area recycling companies instead, and some of them charge a recycling fee.
