Junk has a way of piling up until it's one more thing on your list. In Yellow Springs, LoadUp makes it simple: book a quick pickup, see your price upfront, and get your space back.
You look up the village's trash rules, check what the county drop-off takes and call a few haulers. One sends a vague quote and another never calls back. Weeks later, the junk is still sitting in the barn.
Village trash collection may take a bulky item now and then, but limits on size, quantity and refrigerant appliances often apply. You usually have to request it ahead of time, and you still have to get everything to the street by yourself.
Many haulers want to walk the property before they give you a number, then quote by fractions of a truckload you can't measure yourself. Narrow stairs and tight basements in older homes can bring add-ons, so the final figure stays a guess until the truck is loaded.
Giving furniture that still has life in it a second home is worth doing. But donation drop-offs often turn away stained upholstery, worn mattresses and broken pieces. Most also expect you to load, haul and unload everything yourself during their hours.
A roll-off container makes sense for a gut renovation, not a cleared-out spare room. It can crowd a narrow driveway or shared street for days and may need village approval. You still carry every heavy piece outside and lift it over the wall.

In a village where a good chair gets repaired twice before anyone considers letting it go, clearing out an old basement or barn is rarely a quick job. Your Loader does the lifting and carrying, points things toward reuse when local options allow, and genuinely enjoys showing up for neighbors who care where things end up.
Bulky items pile up in older Yellow Springs basements, barns, and sheds, and where they end up matters to people who value reuse. Your Loader sorts each item by condition, so donation, recycling, or disposal fits what it is.
Furniture and household goods that are clean and in good shape may be set aside for donation when local options allow. Your Loader carries them out and loads them separately from items headed elsewhere.
Items that are worn or damaged but not donatable, such as scrap metal or broken fixtures, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates these materials during loading so they stay out of the trash.
Heavily damaged or contaminated bulky items, like soaked mattresses or collapsed furniture, go to a licensed disposal site. Your Loader handles the heavy lifting out of your Yellow Springs property and loads them securely.
Items set out improperly risk non-pickup and scattered debris is not collected, so here is what Yellow Springs and Greene County residents should know before a cleanout.
Any appliance containing Freon will not be collected with Yellow Springs curbside trash until the Freon has been removed by a certified professional and the unit is tagged to show it. Federal rules bar venting refrigerant, which is why the step comes first.
Normally Rumpke collects one bulk item per week on your service day. During the village's annual spring clean-up week, residents may set out an unspecified number of items, but everything must be bagged, containerized, or tied in 4x4 bundles. Old tires and brush are excluded.
Yard and lawn waste must be set out in Rumpke-designated brown paper bags, which are available only at the Village Utility Office. Pickups happen the last Friday of each month from April through November, so late fall cleanups should be timed accordingly.
Yellow Springs clean-up rules have required glass to be broken out of window frames, shower doors, and storm doors before collection. The removed glass goes in cans or boxes, not bags, which keeps sharp pieces contained.
Rumpke requires all mattresses, box springs, and upholstered furniture in Yellow Springs to be wrapped before collection. Large bags sized for these items are sold at the Village Utility Office, and past spring clean-up rules also required king mattresses to be rolled and tied.
Recent Yellow Springs spring clean-up specifications have limited construction material to six cans or two full hoppers, with nails removed or bent over for collection safety. The village posts each year's specifications in advance, so check before staging a remodel pile.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Yellow Springs starts at $75, and curbside or outdoor pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. The exact total is confirmed before booking.
Sometimes. Availability depends on Loader schedules in the Dayton and Greene County area, and Yellow Springs is a small village about 20 miles east of Dayton. Entering your address during booking shows the real open time slots for your location.
Not for curbside or driveway pickups. You can leave items out and add access notes when booking. For items inside the home, someone should be there, or you can leave clear access instructions. Your Loader gives notice before arriving.
Hazardous materials like paint, chemicals, and batteries usually can't go in household trash or on a haul-away truck. Oversized items often need special handling too. Check with Greene County's solid waste district for local drop-off options.
Loaders aim to keep usable items out of the landfill. Depending on acceptance, good furniture and household goods may go to local donation partners, and recyclable materials may go to recyclers. Items that can't be reused or recycled go to an appropriate disposal facility.
You pick your items and a time window online, see your price upfront, and confirm. On pickup day your Loader arrives, loads everything from where you point, and takes it away. Curbside items can be left out in advance.
The main difference is pricing and booking. Many traditional haulers price by truckload and may confirm the cost on site. LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. For a full-truck cleanout, a truckload hauler can be a better fit.
