The Problem

Getting rid of junk here takes more than a free afternoon

You look up the city's pickup rules, call to ask what qualifies, request a few hauler quotes, and wait on callbacks that never come. Weeks later, the junk is still sitting right where it was.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Municipal pickup schedules can help with the occasional bulky item, but they usually come with item restrictions, size or volume caps, and set collection days. You may still be the one dragging everything to the curb, and appliances or renovation debris often don't qualify.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to come out and look before giving a price, then quote by fractions of a truckload you can't really picture. By the time the job is done, the final number may not match what you heard over the phone.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Donation centers need items they can actually resell, so a worn recliner, a scratched entertainment center, or an old tube TV may get turned away. You also have to load, haul, and unload everything yourself, with no promise it will be accepted.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off container makes sense for a full gut job, not for clearing out a spare bedroom. You may need a permit, a delivery window, and a flat spot on a sloped lot. Then it sits in the driveway for days while neighbors notice.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Toronto, from the Ohio River to the city limits

Anyone who has wrestled an old chest freezer up basement stairs or down a sloped driveway knows hills make heavy things heavier. Your Loader can handle the lifting, carrying, and loading, so you don't have to. Your Loaders genuinely like showing up for Toronto neighbors, one narrow doorway at a time.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Bulky items in Toronto rarely belong in one place after pickup, so where they end up depends on condition. Your Loader sorts what leaves your property, aiming to keep usable things in circulation when local options allow.

Items in good, clean condition, like sturdy dressers or working sporting goods, may be taken to donation channels when possible. Your Loader lifts and loads them, and availability depends on what local organizations are accepting.

  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Free up your space and help a neighbor

  • Materials sorted and recovered
  • Diverted from landfill where possible
  • Compliant with local waste regs

Local Disposal Rules

The Toronto disposal rules most residents don't know

Anything on the excluded list stays at the curb when Toronto's Clean Up Week ends, so check these rules for Toronto and Jefferson County before setting anything out.

Rule 01

Toronto's recycling drop-off has a bin for foam

Toronto's drop-off site is one of five Jefferson County locations in JB Green Team's foam recycling program, which was launched as the first of its kind in Ohio. Styrofoam left over from a cleanout can go there rather than into the landfill.

Rule 02

Mattresses and box springs are left out of both cleanups

Toronto's Clean Up Week will not pick up mattresses or box springs. The city says this follows JB Green Team and landfill requirements. JB Green Team's community cleanup collections also exclude them unless a schedule notes otherwise.

Rule 03

Paints and chemicals wait for an annual collection event

JB Green Team plans one household hazardous waste collection in each county every year for chemicals, paints, light bulbs, lead acid batteries, and grill propane tanks. Because a hired company handles these materials, they cannot be accepted at any other time or place.

Rule 04

Clean Up Week is the city's window for tire pickup

During Toronto's Clean Up Week in May, all tires are picked up at homes along with regular garbage collection. The rest of the year, JB Green Team takes only car and pickup tires off the rims at some community collections. It does not take semi or farm tractor tires.

Rule 05

Remodeling debris is barred from county community cleanups

JB Green Team's spring and summer community cleanups accept appliances, carpeting, old furniture, and general large junk items. They do not accept construction debris or bagged household garbage. The cleanups are for residents only, and items from businesses are not accepted.

Rule 06

TVs of any size are excluded from city cleanup pickup

Toronto's Clean Up Week will not take TVs of any size or any other electronics, and JB Green Team's community cleanups refuse them too. JB Green Team holds a separate electronics collection for residents of Jefferson and Belmont counties instead.

Only what your trash hauler's regular service accepts. Bulk piles left out with no arranged pickup can count as illegal dumping under Ohio law. Call Toronto city hall to confirm what your collection covers and whether bulk pickup is offered.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Toronto starts at $75, and pickup from the curb or driveway takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. The exact total is confirmed before booking.

Sometimes. Availability depends on Loader schedules in the Steubenville and Upper Ohio Valley area. Enter your address when booking to see open times. Curbside pickups don't require anyone to be home, but indoor jobs need access.

Most curbside services skip hazardous waste such as paint, chemicals, and batteries, plus tires and large appliances. Rules differ by hauler and the Jefferson County solid waste district, so confirm with them first. Loaders can haul many bulky items, though hazardous materials are not accepted.

Loaders aim to donate usable items and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance by local organizations. Anything that can't be donated or recycled goes to an appropriate disposal facility. Outcomes vary by item condition and available options.

You pick your items online, enter your Toronto address, and choose a time slot. The price is shown and confirmed before you book. On pickup day, a Loader typically calls ahead, then removes the items and handles the hauling.

The main difference is pricing and booking. Traditional haulers usually charge by truckload and may estimate on site. LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. For a full-house cleanout, a truckload hauler can be the better fit.

Yes. If your hauler or the county offers free bulk pickup or a drop-off day, and you can wait and move items yourself, that costs less. Paid removal fits when you need quick pickup, heavy lifting, or items the free program won't take.
