Clean Up Riverside bulky drop-off events take concrete in small, half-ton pickup-truck loads. They also take broken tile and ceramics packed securely in boxes. Commercial waste and trailers longer than 10 feet are not allowed, and the events are free for City residents.
Bulky curbside pickup does not accept appliances that contain Freon. Riverside Public Utilities electric customers can recycle working older refrigerators and standalone freezers, up to two per calendar year. To get the rebate, they need proof that an authorized recycler picked the unit up.
On the third Saturday of each month, holidays excluded, City residents can bring up to one ton of yard waste, bulky items and trash to Agua Mansa Transfer Station. They need a current utility bill, and loads must be covered under the California Vehicle Code.
Residents get two bulky appointments per year, with five items each. Three bags of 20 pounds or less count as one item. If more than five items get picked up, the City automatically deducts your second appointment. Items can't go to the curb more than 24 hours early.
