The Problem

Getting junk out of Rhome takes more than it should

You look up the trash provider's rules, call a couple of haulers, and wait on callbacks that may never come. A week goes by, then another, and the junk is still in the garage.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Municipal pickup schedules work well for routine bags and the occasional bundled item. They often limit what they take, how much, and when, and they usually leave the heavy lifting to you. Anything bulky, hazardous, or outside the rules may stay at the curb or never get scheduled.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers won't quote until someone comes out to look, which means another appointment to work around. Then the price is often based on how much of the truck you fill, so you don't know your real cost until the load is on board.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Donation centers need items they can resell, so stains, tears, missing parts, or worn finishes can get a piece turned away. Most also expect you to load it, drive it there, and hope the drop-off door is open when you arrive.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off container fits a full gut job, not a spare bedroom of old furniture. You still pick a delivery window, find room on your driveway, and handle all the lifting yourself, while the bin sits there for days in plain view of your neighbors.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Rhome, from the 287 corridor to the county roads

A North Texas July afternoon is a poor time to wrestle an old sectional into a pickup, and a dump run means a lot of road with a hot tailgate. Your Loaders handle the lifting from garage, side yard, or back acreage, and like showing up for Rhome neighbors who would rather keep their weekend.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Where a couch, a worn-out grill, or a pile of fence boards ends up matters as much as getting it out of your Rhome garage. Your Loader sorts each item by condition, favoring donation or recycling when local options allow.

Gently Used

Donation Pickup

Furniture, housewares, and other items that are clean and in good working shape may be donated when local options allow. Your Loader sets them aside from the rest of the load, with no guarantee of a specific charity.

  • Tax-deductible receipt by request
  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Free up your space and help a neighbor

Visible Wear

Recycling

Items that are damaged but not donatable, like bent metal frames or worn-out equipment, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates them from the load, though nearby recycling options can be limited.

  • Materials sorted and recovered
  • Diverted from landfill where possible
  • Compliant with local waste regs

Heavily Damaged

Responsible Disposal

Heavily damaged or contaminated bulky items, such as soaked mattresses or broken-down sofas, are loaded by your Loader and taken to an appropriate disposal site, which may be a landfill or transfer station.

  • No logistics or transport to handle
  • No sorting or drop-off required on your end
  • Local disposal fees covered

Local Disposal Rules

The Rhome disposal rules most residents don't know

Trash left beside the cart stays on the curb, and county dumpsites turn away the wrong loads, so here is how disposal works in Rhome and across Wise County.

Rule 01

Roofing shingles are accepted at only two county dumpsites

After a North Texas hailstorm, torn-off shingles cannot go to just any Wise County dumpsite. Only the Boyd and Decatur sites take shingles, and they are charged by the cubic yard rather than per bag.

Rule 02

Extra bags beside the cart are left behind

Rhome's trash collection on Tuesdays and Fridays only takes trash that fits inside the cart, and carts must be at the curb by 6 a.m. Households that regularly overflow can add a second cart for an extra monthly charge.

Rule 03

Mattresses and box springs are priced separately at county dumpsites

Wise County dumpsites charge per item for bedding, and the fee goes up with size from twin to king. A box spring is charged as its own item, so a full bed set counts as two separate charges.

Rule 04

Paint and pool chemicals need a scheduled porch pickup

Rhome works with HHW Solutions on front porch collection in January, April, July, and October. Paint products, pool products, mercury lamps or devices, and ammunition or fireworks qualify. Pickup must be scheduled ahead, with items out by 8 a.m.

Rule 05

County dumpsites refuse dump trailers and commercial trash

Wise County dumpsites only take household trash from county residents. Commercial waste and loads brought in dump trailers are not allowed, which matters for large remodeling or estate cleanouts that would normally fill a trailer.

Rule 06

Bulk items go out on the first Tuesday each month

Every Rhome household has to sign up for city trash service, and that service includes bulk trash pickup on the first Tuesday of each month. Planning a cleanout around that date lets oversized items go out without a separate trip.

Only on bulk day. Rhome's Waste Connections service picks up bulk trash on the first Tuesday of each month. Regular trash must fit inside your cart, and extra bags left beside it won't be taken. Rhome residents are required to sign up for city trash service.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Rhome starts at $75, and curbside or driveway pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on, and the exact total is confirmed before booking. City trash service is $18.66 a month and includes monthly bulk pickup.

Same-day pickup is sometimes available, depending on the schedule in your area. Enter your address when booking to see live availability for Rhome. For curbside jobs you don't need to be home. For in-home pickups, someone should be there or you can leave access instructions.

Household hazardous waste like paint, chemicals and batteries needs a separate path. Rhome's trash fee includes quarterly hazardous waste pickups, and you must schedule them at hhwsolutions.com/rhome. The 2026 dates are January 13, April 14, July 14 and October 13.

Loaders aim to donate usable items and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance by local charities and recycling facilities. Items that can't be reused or recycled go to an appropriate disposal facility. Donation and recycling outcomes can't be guaranteed on every job.

You book online, choose your items and a pickup window, and see your total before confirming. Your Loader typically gives notice before arriving. They carry the items out and load them, so you don't have to lift anything or haul it to the dump yourself.

Mainly the pricing model. Traditional haulers usually charge by truckload and may quote after an on-site estimate. LoadUp prices per item online, so you see your total before anyone arrives. For large cleanouts, a truckload hauler can be a better fit.

For a few bulky items, yes. The city's monthly bulk pickup is included in your trash bill, but it only happens once a month on the first Tuesday. If you need something gone sooner or can't lift it to the curb, a paid pickup makes more sense.
