The Problem

Leftover paint is easy to buy, hard to ditch

You search for answers, call around about pickup rules, and leave messages with haulers who may or may not call back. Meanwhile those half-used cans keep stacking up on the garage shelf, one more season untouched.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Municipal pickup schedules handle a lot of bulky household junk, but paint is often left out or set aside for separate hazardous waste handling. Drop-off events may come only a few times a year, so your cans can sit for months before an option opens up.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Lots of haulers want to come out and look before they'll quote anything, then price the job by how much of the truck you fill. A few paint cans can turn into a guessing game, and some crews won't take paint at all.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Reuse centers and thrift stores usually want sealed, usable paint in clear condition, and many won't accept paint of any kind. Rusted lids, dried-out cans, and odd custom tints rarely get through, which leaves most of your stash right where it started.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off container is sized for whole renovations, not a shelf of old paint. Delivery windows, possible HOA or street placement questions, and a big bin in the driveway for days are a lot of hassle, and paint often isn't allowed in dumpsters anyway.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Pearl, on both sides of Highway 80 and Highway 49

Mississippi summers turn a garage into an oven, and old paint cans don't age gracefully in it. Nobody wants to wrestle a box of them into the car in that heat. Your Loaders carry sealed cans out and load the truck, though acceptance depends on paint type and condition. They genuinely like showing up for Pearl neighbors.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Big, bulky items are hard to move alone, and where they end up matters as much as getting them out of the garage. In Pearl, your Loader sorts each haul by condition, favoring reuse when local options allow.

Donation Pickup

Furniture, exercise gear, and yard equipment in clean, usable shape may be donated when possible and where local options allow. Your Loader does the lifting, and no receipt or paperwork is promised.

  • Tax-deductible receipt by request
  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Free up your space and help a neighbor

  • Diverted from landfill where possible
  • Compliant with local waste regs

The Pearl disposal rules most residents don't know

Paint and bulky leftovers left in the wrong spot get turned away at the curb or the City Compactor. Here is what applies to Pearl residents in Rankin County.

Rule 01

Furniture and appliances need the seasonal cleanup or another route

Waste Management will not pick up furniture, appliances or similar household items at the curb. During Pearl's spring and fall cleanups, residents with ID have been able to drop these items off for free. Contractors and businesses still pay the normal fee.

Rule 02

Paint is barred from both the cart and the compactor

Waste Management, which provides Pearl's curbside collection, lists paint as household hazardous waste that does not belong in the curbside container. The city also bans dumping paint at the City Compactor station, so leftover cans need another place to go.

Rule 03

Limbs are banned at the compactor but collected during cleanups

Limbs may not be dumped at the City Compactor station. During Pearl's announced spring and fall cleanups, Public Works picks up leaves and limbs at the curb in front of the home as long as they are kept separate from other debris.

Rule 04

Renovation scraps fall outside what the curbside cart accepts

Construction waste is on the not-accepted list for Pearl's curbside containers. Each container can hold no more than 64 gallons and 60 pounds, and all trash must be bagged. Old trim and drywall pulled out before repainting fall outside regular cart service.

Rule 05

Computers are excluded from both curbside carts and the compactor

Pearl's curbside service does not accept electronic waste, and the City Compactor station specifically bans computers. Old computers found during a garage or spare room cleanout need an electronics recycling outlet because neither city option will take them.

Rule 06

Thinners and fuel cans fall under the compactor's flammable ban

The City Compactor does not accept fuel containers or flammable liquids, which rules out many of the thinners and solvents used to strip paint or clean brushes. During seasonal cleanups, the city also says no liquids will be accepted.

Not safely or legally. Liquid paint is household hazardous waste, and dumping items without a scheduled pickup can count as illegal dumping in Mississippi. Check with Pearl public works about what regular trash service accepts before setting anything out.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Pearl starts at $80, and curbside or driveway pickup takes a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on, and the exact total is confirmed before booking.

Same-day pickup is often available in the Pearl area, depending on the schedule and when you book. Enter your address during online booking to see open times. For curbside pickups you don't need to be home if you leave access notes.

Rankin County runs a Household Hazardous Waste Day each fall, and it accepts latex and oil-based paint, solvents, stripper, thinner and varnish. Outside that event, a hauler can take cans, though dried or hardened paint is easier to handle.

It isn't required, but it helps. Remove the lid and let latex paint air dry in a ventilated spot away from kids and pets, or mix in kitty litter or sawdust to speed it up. Loaders can still take liquid or dried paint, open or sealed cans.

Loaders aim to keep usable items out of the landfill by donating them to local charities when options allow. They try to recycle what's accepted, such as scrap metal. Whatever can't be donated or recycled goes to the appropriate disposal facility, depending on acceptance.

The main differences are the pricing model and the booking flow. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King typically price by truckload, often after an estimate. LoadUp prices per item online, with the total confirmed before the Loader arrives.
