The Problem

Getting junk out of North Seekonk shouldn't take a month

You look up the town's rules, call a couple of haulers, and wait on quotes that never come back. Somebody promises to swing by next week. Meanwhile the pile in the garage just sits there, and weekends keep slipping by.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Seekonk's municipal pickup schedules can help, but they come with conditions. Some items need a request ahead of time, state disposal bans cover things like mattresses and certain electronics, and you still have to haul everything to the curb yourself before the scheduled day.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to look at the job in person before they'll give you a number, then charge by how much of the truck you fill. Until everything is loaded you don't really know the cost, and that makes it hard to plan.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Donating makes sense for things that still have life in them. But a stained recliner, a scratched-up dresser, or an appliance with no confirmed working history usually gets turned away. And even when something is accepted, getting it there is still your job.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off container covers a lot of driveway for a few days, and you may need town sign-off if it sits near the street. Neighbors notice it, the delivery and pickup times are set for you, and you still do all the loading.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving North Seekonk, and all of Seekonk, right up to the Rhode Island line

Around here, a Saturday errand means a car and a crawl past the busy shopping strips, and a dump run with a busted dryer in the back only stretches it into the afternoon. Your Loaders would rather carry it out for you. They genuinely like showing up for the neighbors here, so your weekend stays yours.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Bulky items rarely end up in the same place, and that matters in North Seekonk. Your Loader looks at each piece's condition and sends it toward donation, recycling, or disposal, keeping what's reusable out of the trash where local options allow.

Local Disposal Rules

The North Seekonk disposal rules most residents don't know

Trash left outside official blue bags, or bulky items set out without the right sticker, stays at the curb. These rules apply in North Seekonk and throughout Seekonk, Bristol County.

Rule 01

Storm branches must be cut and bundled before collection

Branches must be no thicker than 1.5 inches and shorter than 3 feet, bundled or placed in paper bags weighing up to 30 pounds. Curbside pickup runs only in May, October, and November, but the transfer facility accepts yard waste year-round without a pass.

Rule 02

Mattresses and box springs are banned from Massachusetts trash

Since November 2022, MassDEP has made it illegal to put mattresses and box springs in the trash. Seekonk handles them through curbside pickup with a purchased mattress sticker, which comes with a storage bag to protect the mattress until collection.

Rule 03

Propane tanks and solar panels have a monthly drop-off window

These items go to the special recycling shed at the transfer facility, which opens only on the second Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon. Both require a blue bulky waste sticker to be accepted.

Rule 04

Bulky Waste Passes are capped at three per household

Only residents enrolled in the town trash program can buy passes, limited to three per fiscal year, and each one is valid only on scheduled Bulky Waste Days at the transfer facility. Household trash in blue bags is not accepted with a pass.

Rule 05

Torn or stained clothing still belongs in a textile bin

The same 2022 state ban covers clothing and other textiles. Seekonk's collection bins at the DPW and local schools take clothing and linens in any condition as long as they are dry, so wet or moldy items should stay out.

Rule 06

Renovation debris falls outside the town bulky waste program

Seekonk states that Bulky Waste Day is not an alternative to renting a dumpster, and its regulations exclude commercial and industrial waste. For construction debris, the town points residents to private drop-off facilities that charge a fee.

Not freely. Seekonk's bulky waste curbside pickup requires a town sticker bought from the DPW at 871 Taunton Ave, before 11AM the day before pickup. Regular household trash must go in town Blue Bags, and bulky items left out without a sticker may be treated as illegal dumping.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in North Seekonk starts at $105, and curbside or driveway pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on charge, and the exact total is confirmed before booking.

Same-day slots are sometimes available, depending on the schedule near you. Enter your address during booking to see live availability. For curbside pickups you generally don't need to be home. For items inside, someone should be present or leave access instructions.

Seekonk's Bulky Waste Day at the transfer facility (TARF) doesn't accept Blue Bag trash, freon-charged appliances, mattresses or box springs. Entry also needs a pass from the DPW. The town has said mattresses have their own curbside sticker program, so large restricted items often need a separate route.

For a few broken household items, the town's bulky waste pass or sticker is usually the cheaper route, though you handle the lifting and the timing. A hauler fits better when you need fast scheduling, in-home carrying, or items the town won't take, like appliances with freon.

Loaders aim to donate usable items and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance, and avoid landfill whenever options allow. Seekonk's recycling office lists Goodwill among local donation options. Items that are broken or unaccepted are taken to an appropriate disposal facility.

Enter your address and describe your items online, then pick an arrival window and see your total before you confirm. On pickup day your Loader gives notice before arriving, carries the items out, and loads them. No in-person estimate is needed first.

The main difference is pricing and booking. Truckload haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King typically quote by the volume of truck space used, often after an on-site estimate. LoadUp prices per item online, with your total confirmed before booking, which often suits smaller jobs.
