Junk piles up fast, and getting rid of it always feels like a bigger job than it should. Book LoadUp for a quick pickup and see your real price before you commit.
You search online, call city hall about bulk pickup, request a few hauler quotes, and wait. One never calls back, another wants to come look first. Meanwhile the junk still sits in the garage, week after week.
City bulk pickup programs can work well for a single couch at the curb. But they usually require scheduling ahead, may limit what qualifies, and expect you to drag everything out yourself. A full basement cleanout or anything on a tight timeline rarely fits that calendar.
Many haulers want to send someone out for an in-person estimate before they'll name a price. Then the quote depends on how much of the truck they say you filled, so you don't really know what you're paying until the work is already done.
Donation centers have to be choosy about condition, and that makes sense. Stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and outdated electronics often get turned away. That still leaves you hauling the rejects home and figuring out what to do with them next.
A roll-off container is built for whole-house demolition, not one cluttered room. Depending on placement, you may need to check permit rules, coordinate drop-off and pickup dates, and give up your driveway or curb space for days. And you're still doing all the lifting.

Anyone who has wrestled a musty recliner up a narrow basement staircase in a Missouri July knows it's a workout, not a chore. Your Loaders take the stairs, the sweat, and the heavy lifting off your hands. Normandy neighbors have enough on their plates, and showing up for you is the best part of our day.
Knowing where a couch, mattress, or old dresser ends up matters just as much as getting it out of the house. In Normandy, your Loader sorts each item by condition and looks for responsible options.
Furniture and household goods in good, clean condition may be donated when local options allow. Your Loader sets those items aside and aims to find a suitable donation channel, though acceptance is never guaranteed.
Items that are worn or damaged but not donatable, like metal frames or old appliances, may be recycled where available. Your Loader looks for those options when possible, depending on what local facilities accept.
Heavily damaged, soiled, or broken bulky items, such as a collapsed sofa or waterlogged mattress, are taken for proper disposal. Your Loader hauls them out and uses an appropriate local disposal site.
A tire, freezer or bag of leaves in the wrong spot can mean a rejected load or a dumping violation. These rules govern cleanouts in Normandy and St. Louis County.
Missouri bans whole tires from landfills, and dumped tires become mosquito breeding sites in humid St. Louis summers. State law requires stores that sell new tires to accept used tires from buyers, at least as many as they sell.
Missouri has kept yard waste out of landfills since 1992, so leaves, grass clippings and brush cannot go in with regular garbage. When spring thunderstorms bring down branches across Normandy, that debris needs to go to composting or a yard waste collection.
Under a Missouri law, companies that sell computers in the state must offer consumers a free recovery program for their own brand of desktops, laptops and computer monitors. Televisions are not covered by that law, so they need a separate recycling option.
Missouri does not treat dried latex paint as hazardous, so you can open the cans, harden the paint with cat litter or a hardener, and put them out with the trash. Oil-based paint and solvents go to the regional household hazardous waste program, which works by appointment.
State law keeps major appliances out of landfills so their metal gets recycled. Refrigerators, freezers and window air conditioners also hold refrigerant. Federal rules require that refrigerant to be recovered before the appliance is scrapped, so it does not leak into the atmosphere.
Missouri defines clean fill as uncontaminated soil, rock, concrete, brick and cinderblocks, and it is not regulated as solid waste. Once drywall, shingles or treated lumber get mixed in, the load becomes demolition waste and has to go to a permitted landfill.

(678) 884-4738Generally no. Items set out that your trash hauler hasn't agreed to collect can be treated as illegal dumping under local nuisance codes. Check with Normandy City Hall or your hauler for bulk item rules and any required scheduling or fees.
LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Normandy starts at $75, and pickup from the curb or driveway takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on charge, and the exact total is confirmed before booking. Traditional haulers usually price by truckload.
Often, depending on Loader availability in your area that day. Enter your Normandy zip code during booking to see live openings, including same-day and next-day slots. For curbside pickups you usually don't need to be home if you leave access notes.
Not for curbside or driveway pickups, as long as the items are easy to reach and you leave clear notes. For pickups inside a home, garage, or basement, someone should be there or you can give access instructions when booking.
Large or restricted items such as paint, chemicals, batteries, tires, and appliances with refrigerants are commonly excluded from regular household pickup. St. Louis County area programs handle hazardous waste separately, so confirm with your hauler or City Hall before setting anything out.
Loaders aim to donate usable items to local charities and recycle what they can, depending on what facilities accept. Items that can't be donated or recycled go to the appropriate disposal facility. Outcomes vary by item condition and acceptance.
You pick your items and a time window online, see the price upfront, and book. A Loader is assigned and typically gives notice before arriving. They haul the items away on pickup day, and you pay the confirmed price with no truck-volume surprises.
The main difference is the pricing model. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King generally charge by truck volume and often confirm price on site. LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. For large cleanouts, truckload pricing can be a better fit.
