The Problem

Getting rid of junk around Loretto takes more than it should

You look up the city's options, call the county, and leave messages with a couple of haulers who never call back. Weeks go by, and the old couch is still sitting on the porch.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

City bulk pickup programs work well when your items qualify and the timing lines up. Many small-town programs leave out appliances, building debris, or anything that hasn't already been dragged to the roadside. Check what Loretto actually accepts before you plan around it.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to come out and see the job before they'll give you a number. Then the price depends on how much of the truck you fill, which is hard to guess ahead of time. You often don't know the total until the truck is already loaded.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Donation centers need items they can resell, so stained mattresses, worn furniture, and broken appliances usually get turned away. You also have to load and haul everything yourself, and anything they refuse ends up riding home with you.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off dumpster makes sense for a full gut job. For a shed, a spare room, or a few bulky pieces, you're paying for space you won't use. It also sits in your yard for days, and the loading is still on you.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Loretto, along U.S. 43 and across southern Lawrence County

When you live in a small town, a truck bed full of old furniture or storm limbs usually means borrowing a trailer, making a long round trip, and giving up a Saturday. Your Loaders would rather do the lifting. They carry it out of the barn, garage, or yard because folks here have earned a break.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Bulky items pile up fast on rural properties, and Loretto is no exception. Your Loader sorts each load by condition, so usable things have a chance at a second life and the rest is handled responsibly.

Gently Used

Donation Pickup

Furniture and household goods in good, clean condition may be donated when local options allow. Your Loader sets those items aside, though donation is never guaranteed and you should not expect a receipt.

  • Tax-deductible receipt by request
  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Free up your space and help a neighbor

Visible Wear

Recycling

Items that are worn or damaged but not fit for donation may be recycled where available, such as scrap metal from old appliances. Options can be limited in a small town, so recycling is not promised.

  • Materials sorted and recovered
  • Diverted from landfill where possible
  • Compliant with local waste regs

Heavily Damaged

Responsible Disposal

  • No logistics or transport to handle
  • No sorting or drop-off required on your end
  • Local disposal fees covered

Local Disposal Rules

The Loretto disposal rules most residents don't know

Show up with the wrong load on the wrong day and you can be turned away at the gate, so here is how disposal works in Loretto and Lawrence County.

Rule 01

Tires bypass Loretto and cost extra in Lawrenceburg

The South Lawrence Convenience Center in Loretto does not accept tires. Tires go only to the county's main transfer station in Lawrenceburg. That station charges an extra fee because tire disposal costs more, and it does not take tires on Saturdays.

Rule 02

Loretto's trash rides 115 miles to a Mississippi landfill

Lawrence County sends its garbage to Buck Run Landfill in Walnut, Mississippi. An annual solid waste fee paid by every resident and business helps cover that cost. In 2025 the county recycled 77 percent of its waste, far above the state's 25 percent requirement.

Rule 03

Leftover paint, latex or oil-based, has a county recycling path

Garage cleanouts often turn up half-empty paint cans. Lawrence County Solid Waste accepts both latex and oil-based paint through its recycling program, along with used oil. These liquids don't have to go in household trash or down a drain.

Rule 04

Furniture and mattresses go to Loretto's center, but not Saturdays

The South Lawrence Convenience Center in Loretto has space for larger items like beds, furniture, and mattresses. County Solid Waste does not take bulk garbage on Saturdays, and that includes the Loretto site, so plan big-item trips for Tuesday or Thursday.

Rule 05

Lumber and demolition debris have no drop-off in Loretto

The Loretto convenience center does not take wood or construction and demolition debris. The Lawrenceburg transfer station takes wood waste for an extra fee, but not on Saturdays. After a January 2026 closure, it was still turning away private construction dumpsters and mixed loads.

Rule 06

Old computers and televisions belong in the county recycling stream

Lawrence County Solid Waste lists e-waste, including computers and televisions, among the materials it collects for recycling, along with metal, clothing, and batteries. Take electronics to the county facility on their own instead of bagging them with household garbage.

Yes. Lawrence County Solid Waste runs a convenience center at 171 Hollander Lane in Loretto. Bulk household waste, like a house cleanout, is charged by weight at $72 per ton with a $25 minimum. Out-of-county loads are not accepted.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Loretto starts at $80, and curbside or driveway pickup takes a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on, and the exact total is confirmed before booking.

Same-day and next-day slots are sometimes open in the Loretto area, depending on Loader availability. Enter your zip code during booking to see live openings for your address. For curbside pickups you generally don't need to be home.

It can be. If you own a truck and can load it yourself, paying by weight at the county site is usually the cheapest route for a cleanout. Bulk, wood and demo loads are not accepted on Saturdays. Hiring help makes sense when you lack a truck or the time to load.

Household hazardous waste is handled separately from bulk trash. The county lists items like gasoline, paint strippers and thinners, adhesives, roofing tar, aerosols, mercury thermometers and fluorescent bulbs. Check with Lawrence County Solid Waste before loading these.

Loaders aim to donate usable items and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance by local partners. Anything that can't be reused or recycled goes to an appropriate disposal facility. Donation and recycling outcomes are never guaranteed.

You choose your items and pick a time online, then see your price before you confirm. On pickup day, your Loader arrives in the scheduled window, removes the items from your home, driveway or curb, and handles the hauling and disposal.

Pricing model and booking flow. Traditional haulers often price by truckload and may confirm the cost after an estimate. LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. Truckload pricing can suit very large cleanouts better.
