The Problem

Little Rock has junk options. None fit quite right.

You search the city's website, call to ask what qualifies, request a few hauler quotes, and wait on callbacks that never come. Two weekends later, the junk is still sitting in the garage.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

City bulk pickup programs can help, but they usually run on a set schedule, cap what you can set out, and turn away items like paint, tires, or appliances with refrigerants. Nobody carries anything out of your basement or upstairs bedroom, either. It all has to reach the curb first.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many local haulers want to come out and eyeball the job before giving a number, then price by fractions of a truck you can't picture. That means another appointment to schedule around, and a final bill that can shift once loading starts.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Thrift stores and charities have limited floor space, so they pass on stained mattresses, scuffed particleboard, and anything missing parts. Many won't pick up from upstairs units or attics. You still need a plan for whatever they decline, which is often most of the pile.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off sits in your driveway for days, may need a permit if it touches the street, and can draw HOA letters out west or block a narrow drive in the Heights. You still do all the lifting yourself, for a box that's mostly empty air.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Little Rock, on both sides of I-430

Wrestling a sleeper sofa into a borrowed truck in an Arkansas July, when the humidity feels like a wet towel, is nobody's idea of a weekend. Your Loader does the lifting and loading instead, and showing up for neighbors who'd rather spend Saturday in the shade is the best part of the job.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Bulky items pile up fast in Little Rock, and where they end up matters as much as getting them out. Your Loader sorts each piece by condition, so reusable things stay in use when local options allow.

Local Disposal Rules

The Little Rock disposal rules most residents don't know

Going past the free bulky pickup limit or setting out remodeling debris can mean extra charges, so know these rules for Little Rock and Pulaski County.

Rule 01

Garage chemicals never belong in drains, storm sewers, or garbage

The Regional Recycling District accepts fertilizer, herbicides, insecticides, and pesticides in original packaging or bottles, plus used antifreeze, used gasoline, and used motor oil, at Green Stations. Fuel tanks, ammunition, and tires are prohibited there.

Rule 02

Four free bulky item or appliance pickups per calendar year

Little Rock covers the first four bulky item or appliance pickups each calendar year, scheduled in advance through 311. After that, each pickup is charged $25 for two cubic yards plus $10 per additional cubic yard, added to your monthly solid waste bill.

Rule 03

Storm limbs and yard waste follow separate curbside rules

Little Rock collects yard waste the business day after garbage day. Keep it out of the city garbage cart and within five feet of the curb. Storm damage debris can be reported through 311, and oversized yard waste carries an added fee.

Rule 04

Leftover paint goes in the trash only after it hardens

Pulaski County's Green Stations do not accept paint. The Regional Recycling District instructs residents to harden leftover paint with sand, sawdust, or cat litter, then place the fully dried can and its lid separately in the regular garbage cart.

Rule 05

Remodeling debris falls outside your monthly solid waste fee

Little Rock classifies waste materials from remodeling or repairing your home as construction waste, which is not included in the monthly solid waste fee. The Little Rock Landfill accepts construction and demolition debris for a separate disposal fee.

Rule 06

Green Station electronics drop-off is for households, not businesses

The Regional Recycling District's Green Stations take computers, laptops, smart phones, televisions, office equipment, and wires and cables, but only from residential households located in Pulaski County. Items from businesses are not accepted, so commercial office cleanouts need another disposal route.

Not without arranging it first. Bulky items that don't fit in your household cart need a separate pickup scheduled in advance through 311. Anything set out without a scheduled pickup risks being treated as illegal dumping.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Little Rock starts at $80, and curbside or driveway pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. The exact total is confirmed before booking. The city's 311 bulky pickup is $25 for two cubic yards plus $10 per extra cubic yard, added to your solid waste bill.

Same-day slots are sometimes available depending on your address and the day's schedule. Enter your address during booking to see live availability. For curbside pickups, you usually don't need to be home if you leave access notes.

Household hazardous waste like used oil and cooking oil generally doesn't belong in bulky pickups or regular trash. Pulaski County's Regional Recycling & Waste Reduction District coordinates hazardous-waste and electronics collection, and Green Stations accepts some of these items at 501-340-8787. Call first to confirm what they take.

Loaders aim to donate or recycle whenever possible, depending on acceptance. Usable furniture, appliances, and building materials may go to Little Rock donation sites such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore. What can't be reused or recycled goes to the proper disposal facility.

You get a price online, choose a time window, and the total is confirmed before anyone arrives. On pickup day your Loader handles the lifting and loading, so you don't need to move anything to the curb. Large cleanouts like a garage or attic may need an on-site estimate.

For a few large items, the city's 311 pickup can be cheaper, since it's billed at $25 for two cubic yards. The tradeoff is that you must schedule ahead and have items ready. A hauler like LoadUp, 1-800-GOT-JUNK, or Junk King handles the lifting, and LoadUp prices per item online instead of by truckload.
