The Problem

Getting rid of junk here takes more than it should

You search for options, call to find out who actually serves your address, and leave messages with a few haulers. Some quote, some never call back. Weeks later, the pile in the garage hasn't moved.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

In unincorporated Snohomish County, bulky item collection runs through contracted haulers, so what's offered depends on your address. Many items get turned away, pickups usually need advance scheduling, and you still have to drag everything to the curb yourself.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to see the job in person before quoting, then price by how much of the truck you fill. That leaves you guessing until the crew shows up, and the final number can drift from what you were first told.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Thrift stores and charities can only take what they can resell, so stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and broken furniture often get refused. Even accepted items usually need you to load, haul, and unload them during drop-off hours.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off container makes sense for a full remodel, not for clearing out one bedroom. You may need a permit, have to plan around delivery and pickup windows, and give up driveway space for days while neighbors watch the bin fill.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Lake Stickney and all of South Snohomish County

Nobody wants to wrestle a soggy mattress into a pickup in the Puget Sound drizzle, then sit in I-5 traffic hunting for a dump. Your Loader handles the lifting, carrying, and loading, rain or shine. Your Loaders love showing up for Lake Stickney neighbors, because weekends shouldn't revolve around a truck bed.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Big, bulky items are hard to move alone, so where they end up matters as much as getting them out. In Lake Stickney, your Loader sorts each item by condition, keeping usable things out of the trash when possible.

The Lake Stickney disposal rules most residents don't know

A refrigerator, TV, or oversized load can be turned away at the gate, so here is what Lake Stickney residents need to know about Snohomish County disposal rules.

Rule 01

Flood-damaged belongings have qualified for waived disposal fees

After the historic flooding of late 2025, the county ran a voucher program waiving disposal fees for flood-damaged carpets, mattresses, furniture, and water-soaked plasterboard through January 18, 2026. Each load required its own voucher, and yard debris and demolition debris were excluded.

Rule 02

TVs and computer monitors go through E-Cycle Washington instead

Snohomish County solid waste facilities do not accept TVs, computers, or monitors, and the hazardous waste station does not take them either. Washington's E-Cycle program offers free recycling of TVs, computers, monitors, laptops, tablets, e-readers, and portable DVD players.

Rule 03

Rodent-infested loads are refused at county disposal sites

Snohomish County's site safety rules bar rodent-infested loads from its transfer stations and drop boxes. In this damp climate, long-stored garages, sheds, and crawl spaces can harbor rodents, so infested material has to be dealt with before it can be dropped off.

Rule 04

Six-foot length limit applies at drop boxes and North County

At the North County Recycling and Transfer Station and the county's drop boxes, items must be less than six feet long or smaller than 25 square feet. Yard debris, household sofas, appliances, mattresses, doors, carpets, and rugs are exempt from that limit.

Rule 05

Hazardous waste drop-off has per-visit limits on liquids

The county's Haz Waste Drop-Off Station takes oil-based paints, stains, thinners, and solvents. Thinners and solvents are limited to five gallons per visit, and fluorescent bulbs and tubes are limited to ten. The station does not accept empty containers, and county garbage facilities refuse liquid waste.

Rule 06

Refrigerators and heat pumps cannot go to county facilities

Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, heat pumps, and dehumidifiers are not accepted at Snohomish County facilities. The county suggests asking your appliance retailer whether it will take the old unit back. Other appliances and scrap metal can still be recycled at county sites.

Not unless your hauler has scheduled it. Lake Stickney is unincorporated Snohomish County, so regular garbage service comes from a private hauler, and loose items left outside can count as illegal dumping. Check your hauler's bulky item rules first.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Lake Stickney starts at $95, and curbside or driveway pickup takes a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on, and the exact total is confirmed before booking.

Sometimes. Same-day and next-day slots depend on Loader availability near Lynnwood, Mukilteo, and Everett. Enter your address during booking to see the real openings. For curbside pickups you usually don't need to be home, and for in-home pickups you can leave access instructions.

Hazardous items like paint, solvents, and chemicals generally can't go in household trash or a standard haul. Oversized items often need a separate bulky pickup or a trip to a county transfer station. Ask your hauler or the county about current rules before disposing.

Loaders try to keep usable items out of the landfill. Whenever options allow, they aim to donate furniture and household goods to local charities and recycle metals and electronics. Donation and recycling depend on acceptance, so what can't be placed is disposed of at an appropriate facility.

You book online, choose the items and a time window, and see your total upfront. Your Loader typically sends a heads-up before arriving, then removes the items from where you've pointed them out, whether that's a garage, the home interior, or the curb.

The main differences are pricing and booking. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King usually price by truckload, often with an estimate on site. LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. For a full-house cleanout, a truckload hauler can be a better fit.
