Appliances are excluded from the Metro-Franklin bulk drop-off for Town of Norway residents. The town instead refers residents to Johns Disposal, its garbage and recycling contractor, to set up a separate collection of large items and appliances, which costs extra.
Bulk pickup no longer collects electronics, and the Metro-Franklin drop-off doesn't accept them either. Instead, the Town of Norway holds e-cycling events each spring and fall for Norway residents only, and the dates appear in the town newsletter.
