The Problem

Getting rid of junk in Wenatchee takes more than it should

You search for options, call the city, leave messages with a couple of haulers, and wait. One sends a vague quote and another never calls back. Weeks go by and the junk is still sitting in the garage.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

City bulk pickup programs and municipal pickup schedules can help, but they often limit which items qualify, ask you to request a pickup ahead of time, and expect everything at the curb. That doesn't work if your junk is stuck in a basement or up a steep driveway.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to come out and look before they'll give you a number, then price by fractions of a truckload you can't really measure yourself. You find out the real cost after they arrive, which is a bad time to start negotiating.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Donation centers have to be careful about what they take, so stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and broken furniture usually get turned away. You still need a way to haul things there, and whatever they reject comes right back home with you.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off container takes up your driveway or the street for days. You may need a permit, you have to plan delivery and pickup around the hauler's schedule, and you still do all the lifting yourself. It's a lot of hassle for one cluttered room.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Wenatchee, from the Columbia riverfront to the hillside streets

Loading a sagging couch into a borrowed truck on a July afternoon, when the Wenatchee sun is bouncing off the driveway, is nobody's idea of a good weekend. Your Loaders would rather take that on. They lift, carry, and haul it away while you stay in the shade, because folks here deserve an easier summer.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

A sagging sofa, a retired chest freezer, or a pile of remodel leftovers each needs a different ending, and Wenatchee homes produce all three. Your Loader sorts by condition, so more of it can avoid the landfill when local options allow.

Gently Used

Donation Pickup

Furniture, tools, and household goods that are clean and in working shape may be set aside for donation when possible. Your Loader carries them out and sends them toward local donation channels where available.

  • Tax-deductible receipt by request
  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Free up your space and help a neighbor

Visible Wear

Recycling

Items that are worn or damaged but not donatable, like scrap metal, old bikes, or broken fixtures, may be taken for recycling when local options allow. Your Loader separates them during loading.

  • Materials sorted and recovered
  • Diverted from landfill where possible

  • No logistics or transport to handle
  • No sorting or drop-off required on your end
  • Local disposal fees covered

Local Disposal Rules

The Wenatchee disposal rules most residents don't know

Guess wrong and a load can be turned away or an extra-garbage charge lands on your bill. These rules apply in Wenatchee and Chelan County.

Rule 01

Latex paint drop-offs are capped at 50 gallons per visit

Chelan County's Moderate Risk Waste Facility accepts latex and oil-based paint. Latex drop-offs are capped at 50 gallons per visit, in containers of 5 gallons or less. Cans of solidified paint can go in household garbage, and usable paint goes to free reuse.

Rule 02

City WM customers get a yearly coupon for bulky waste

Single-family WM customers in Wenatchee whose accounts are in good standing can redeem an Annual Cleanup Program coupon for household garbage and bulky waste, such as mattresses, water heaters and toilets. ID must match the account, and loads over 2.5 yards pay standard rates.

Rule 03

Bag household trash because Wenatchee wind scatters loose garbage

WM's Wenatchee guidelines ask residents to bag all garbage before it goes in the grey cart, because high winds spread litter during collection. A cart lid left open more than 6 inches also triggers an extra garbage charge.

Rule 04

Refrigerators and air conditioners are excluded from the cleanup coupon

Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners are on the prohibited list for Wenatchee's Annual Cleanup Program. At the county's Chelan Transfer Station, refrigeration and A/C units that contain, or once contained, coolants carry an extra fee, and units with food inside are refused.

Rule 05

Glass goes in the garbage cart, not recycling

WM's Wenatchee collection guidelines list glass under garbage, along with non-recyclable metal, paper and plastic. Chelan County's drop-off recycling sites don't take glass either, so jars and bottles belong in the grey garbage cart.

Rule 06

Drywall, carpet and roofing are barred from cleanup coupon loads

Wenatchee's Annual Cleanup Program bans asbestos-containing material and names drywall, carpet and roofing as examples. It also bans insulation, concrete, asphalt and dirt, so remodel debris needs a different disposal route than the free coupon trip.

No. Junk left on a curb without a scheduled pickup can be treated as illegal dumping. Wenatchee residents can take loads to the WM Wenatchee Transfer Station at 1421 S. Wenatchee Ave. (closed Mondays) or the county's Dryden Transfer Station on Highway 2.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Wenatchee starts at $95, and curbside or driveway pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on, and the exact total is confirmed before booking. Traditional haulers usually charge by the truckload.

Same-day pickup is sometimes available, depending on schedule openings. Enter your Wenatchee address during booking to see live availability for your zip code. For curbside pickups you don't need to be home, and for in-home pickups someone should be present or leave access instructions.

At the county's Dryden Transfer Station on Highway 2, household trash is $125 per ton with a $30 minimum for small loads. Non-freon appliances have a $15 minimum, covering up to 2 appliances. Rates change, so confirm with Chelan County Solid Waste before you haul.

Hazardous items are not accepted at transfer stations. Chelan County's Moderate Risk Waste Facility at 3612 Highway 97A in Wenatchee takes household chemicals, aerosols, batteries and antifreeze. It is free to county residents, with a $10 donation suggested. Call 509-667-5706 for details.

Loaders aim to donate usable items to local charities and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance. Items that can't be reused or recycled go to an appropriate disposal facility. Outcomes vary by item condition, so diversion from the landfill isn't guaranteed for every load.

Choose your items online, enter your Wenatchee address, and pick a time window. You see the total price before you confirm. On pickup day, your Loader typically calls or texts ahead of arrival, then carries the junk out and loads it, so you don't have to lift anything.

The main difference is the pricing model. Traditional haulers usually price by truck space and may confirm the price on-site. LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. For a few items, per-item pricing can cost less, while a full cleanout may suit a truckload hauler.
