Chester Landfill, between Mt. Pleasant and Ephraim, only takes construction and demolition waste. Televisions and computers are on its list of items it won't accept. Household waste goes to White Hills, the county's general-purpose Class I landfill.
Both the White Hills and Chester landfills take metal at no charge if it's mostly free of non-metal parts. For large metal items, you have to remove the non-metal parts first to get the free metal rate.
