When junk piles up, getting rid of it turns into a chore nobody wants. Book LoadUp for a quick pickup around Troy, and see your price before you commit.
You make a few calls, check the county website, and leave messages with haulers who never ring back. One quote sounds vague, another never arrives. Weeks slip by, and everything is still sitting in the shed.
Free municipal pickup schedules can help, but in a rural area they may be limited or not available at all. Programs that do exist often skip appliances, brush piles, or building scraps, and still expect you to drag everything to the road yourself.
Many haulers want to drive out and look before they quote, which can mean a long wait for someone coming from out of town. Then the price comes back as a fraction of a truckload, and you rarely know the final number until loading is done.
Donation centers need items they can actually resell, so a chair with a broken frame or a stained mattress usually gets turned away. Local drop-off options may also be a drive from Troy, and some things simply have nowhere to go.
A roll-off container makes sense for a full gut job, not a cleared-out spare room. You still have to schedule delivery and pickup, find level ground for it, and carry every heavy piece out and lift it over the side yourself.

Anyone who has strapped an old chest freezer into a pickup bed and rattled down a gravel road to the dump knows it eats the afternoon. Your Loaders would rather carry it out of the barn and load it themselves. Troy folks look out for each other, and showing up for them is a pleasure.
Bulky items pile up fast in Troy, from worn-out furniture to leftover estate cleanout pieces. Where they end up depends on their condition, and your Loader sorts each item toward donation, recycling, or disposal when local options allow.
Furniture and household goods in good, clean shape may be set aside for donation when possible and local options allow. Your Loader carries them out and loads them separately from items that are too worn to reuse.
Items that are damaged but still have usable materials, like metal appliances or frames, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates them during loading, though nearby recycling outlets can be limited in rural areas.
Heavily damaged or contaminated bulky items, such as soaked mattresses or broken-down furniture, go to an appropriate disposal site. Your Loader handles the lifting and loading, so you never haul them yourself.
Dumping a tire violates Tennessee's litter law, and curbside piles set out early ignore the town's three-day window. Here is what applies in Troy and Obion County.
TDEC's mobile household hazardous waste service has held free events at the Obion County Recycling Center. Tennessee sends batteries, oil, paint, antifreeze and electronic scrap to year-round local sites instead, and items from businesses or agri-businesses are not accepted.
The town runs a single curbside pickup each month, on the second Tuesday, for limbs, debris and household items. Piles may go out no more than three days ahead, which matters after West Tennessee storms bring down branches mid-month.
Along with see-through glass bottles and jars, the county recycling center lists automotive glass among its free items. Rinse bottles and jars first, and check the center's separate list of materials it will not accept for any reason.
State law bars whole, unshredded tires from landfills and requires every county to run at least one waste tire collection site. Obion County's site operates at the county recycling center in Union City, and illegal tire dumping is prohibited under Tennessee's litter law.
Obion County's recycling guidance asks that oil be kept in a container with the lid closed. Garage cleanouts often turn up old jugs from mower or truck oil changes, so check that each one seals before loading it.
The Obion County Recycling Center takes cardboard, paper/mail, newspaper and magazines free, but asks that all items be separated by listed type. Flattening moving boxes and keeping mail apart from newspaper before the trip saves sorting on site.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Troy starts at $80 for a single item, and curbside or outdoor pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. The exact total is confirmed before booking.
Sometimes, depending on Loader availability in Obion County. Enter your address during booking to see the live slots for your location. Scheduling a day or two ahead usually gives you the most choices for pickup windows.
Not for curbside or driveway pickups. Put the items out and add access notes at booking. For items inside a home, barn, or garage, someone should be there or you can leave clear access instructions. Your Loader will contact you before arriving.
Hazardous materials are the usual limit, such as paint, chemicals, fuel, pesticides, and batteries. Farm-area cleanouts often include these. Those need a household hazardous waste drop-off, so ask Obion County Solid Waste about its current options.
Loaders aim to donate usable items and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance by local partners. Whatever can't be reused or recycled goes to an appropriate disposal facility. Outcomes vary by item condition, so nothing is guaranteed.
Pick your items and address online, then choose a time window and see your total upfront. A Loader arrives, hauls the items away, and handles the lifting. LoadUp also serves nearby Union City, Obion, and Rives.
The main difference is the pricing model. Traditional haulers often charge by truckload and quote on site. LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. A full truckload cleanout may still suit a big hauler better.
