Junk has a way of piling up until it's one more thing on your list. Book LoadUp for a quick pickup and see your real price upfront, no dump run needed.
You check whether your trash hauler takes bulky items, call a few junk companies, and wait for callbacks that never come. Weeks go by, and the junk is still in the garage.
Many small boroughs leave trash service to private haulers, so bulky pickup often depends on your provider's rules. You may have to schedule ahead and pay item fees, and some things, like appliances, electronics, or a load from a whole barn, may not qualify.
Lots of haulers want to come out and look before they give you a number, and then they price by how much of the truck you fill. You often won't know what you're paying until the load is already on board.
Thrift stores and charities have to be choosy. Stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and anything broken usually gets turned away. Plenty of them don't do pickups, so you still have to load it, drive it there, and hope they accept it.
A roll-off container can sit in your driveway for days, block the street or your lawn, and might need a permit or landlord approval. That's a lot of steel and scheduling to clear out a spare room or a single storage unit.

Anyone who has wrestled a dresser into a borrowed pickup during a Western Pennsylvania winter knows a dump run is never just one quick errand. Snow, mud, and a second trip always find you. Your Loader does the lifting, carrying, and loading, and LoadUp genuinely likes showing up for the neighbors here.
Where a couch, dresser, or old appliance ends up matters as much as getting it out of the house. In Slippery Rock, your Loader sorts each item by condition, so reuse is considered first.
Furniture and household goods in good, clean condition may go to donation when possible and when local options allow. Your Loader lifts and loads them, so you don't have to arrange a drop-off yourself.
Items that are damaged but have usable materials, such as metal frames or some appliances, may be recycled where available. Options around Butler County vary, so your Loader handles what local services allow.
Heavily damaged or contaminated bulky items, like soaked mattresses or broken furniture, are taken for responsible disposal. Your Loader carries them out and loads them, and some items may be excluded.
Putting a TV or car battery in the trash breaks Pennsylvania law, and skipping recycling violates Borough ordinance. These are the rules that apply in Slippery Rock and Butler County.
Butler County's reuse and recycling guide notes that a tire collection is usually held each year in the county for small quantities of auto tires, and suggests checking with local tire dealers about accepting used tires the rest of the year.
Slippery Rock Borough requires every property, from rentals to businesses, to separate recyclables from trash. Each household's recycling container is numbered, recorded by street address, and remains Borough property, so it belongs with the house after a move-out.
Butler County's 2026 drive-through household hazardous waste and electronics collections run from late March through early November, including a June 13 stop in Slippery Rock Borough. Pre-registration is required, so plan basement and garage cleanouts around that window.
Slippery Rock Borough bills garbage collection to every residential establishment at its contracted rate. If a home will sit empty for a long stretch, such as during an estate settlement, residents must apply to the Borough for a temporary discontinuation.
Pennsylvania's Covered Device Recycling Act keeps televisions, desktop and laptop computers, computer monitors, tablets, e-readers, and peripherals like keyboards and printers out of household trash. Slippery Rock Borough or its authorized collector may announce special covered-device collection dates.
Pennsylvania's Act 101 bars lead-acid batteries, like those in cars, trucks, and lawn tractors, from municipal waste because of their lead and acid content. Retailers that sell these batteries are required to accept used ones in return.

Bulk waste that won't fit in the container may go curbside with additional bag stickers. Dumping outside those rules is unlawful.
LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Slippery Rock starts at $80, and curbside or driveway pickup takes a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. The exact total is confirmed before booking.
Same-day pickup is sometimes available, depending on Loader schedules in your area. Enter your address during booking to see the live openings for Slippery Rock. Next-day and scheduled slots are usually easier to get, especially during busy student move-out periods.
Not for curbside or driveway pickups. Items can be left out with access notes. For in-home pickups, someone should be there, or you can leave access instructions when booking. Your Loader will let you know when they are on the way.
Hazardous materials such as paint, solvents, chemicals, and fuel generally aren't accepted with ordinary junk pickups and need special handling. Check with Butler County or the borough about household hazardous waste drop-offs or collection events before you plan a cleanout.
Loaders aim to keep usable items out of the landfill. Whenever possible, items are donated to local charities, and recyclable materials go to recycling facilities, depending on acceptance. Whatever can't be donated or recycled is taken to an appropriate disposal facility.
Pick your items and a time window online, and see the total before you confirm. On pickup day, your Loader arrives in the window, loads the items, and takes them away. You are told when the Loader is on the way, so you can plan around it.
