The Problem

Getting junk out of a Beaver home takes more than it should

You look up the borough's rules, call around for quotes, and wait on haulers who never call back. Weeks go by, and the junk is still sitting in the basement where it started.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Municipal pickup schedules can work for a single bulky item, but programs usually set limits on what qualifies, how often it runs, and how to request it. You still have to drag everything to the curb yourself, often down narrow stairs.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to send someone out for an in-person estimate before they'll commit to a number. Then the price depends on how much of the truck they think you filled, and you rarely know the final cost until the work is done.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Donation centers only accept items in good, resellable condition, and that's fair. Anything stained, broken, or outdated gets turned away, and most won't come up to a third-floor attic to carry things down. That leaves you hauling the rejects twice.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off container takes up your driveway or the street for days, may need a permit to sit on the road, and blocks parking on close-set residential blocks. For clearing one garage or spare room, you're paying for a lot of empty space.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Beaver, along the Ohio and across Beaver County

Plenty of older homes in Beaver were never built with a haul-out in mind: steep basement stairs and tight attic hatches add up fast. Hauling a water heater up those steps yourself is nobody's idea of a free Saturday. Your Loaders do the lifting and carrying, and they genuinely enjoy showing up for neighbors here.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Bulky items rarely fit in a trash bin, so where they end up matters as much as getting them out. In Beaver, your Loader sorts each item by condition, favoring donation or recycling when possible.

Gently Used

Donation Pickup

Furniture, housewares, and appliances in good, clean condition may be set aside for donation when local options allow. Your Loader handles the lifting and loading, and acceptance depends on what nearby organizations currently take.

  • Tax-deductible receipt by request
  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Free up your space and help a neighbor

Visible Wear

Recycling

Items that are worn or damaged but still have usable materials, like metal frames or old electronics, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates them during loading, and local program rules vary.

  • Materials sorted and recovered
  • Diverted from landfill where possible
  • Compliant with local waste regs

Heavily Damaged

Responsible Disposal

Heavily damaged, soiled, or contaminated bulky items go to a permitted disposal site instead. Your Loader carries them out and hauls them away, so you don't have to arrange a trip to a landfill or transfer station.

  • No logistics or transport to handle
  • No sorting or drop-off required on your end
  • Local disposal fees covered

Local Disposal Rules

The Beaver disposal rules most residents don't know

Weekly collection leaves behind any item it doesn't accept, so check the rules below before you start. They apply in Beaver Borough and across Beaver County.

Rule 01

Freon appliances need a removal tag before clean up day

Beaver's Spring Clean Up Days won't take items containing Freon unless a certified refrigeration specialist has tagged them to confirm the Freon was removed. The county recycling center also turns away freezers, refrigerators, dehumidifiers and AC units and sends residents to a local scrap yard.

Rule 02

Extra trash from a cleanout needs official Borough bags

Beaver's weekly trash pickup does not include bulky, odd or extra items, and each can should weigh no more than 40 pounds. You can buy Borough bags at the Borough Office and put them out on your regular trash day. The bag is the only cost.

Rule 03

Fall leaf pickup has a set window, then you need a permit

Borough leaf pickup runs from late October through the end of November. Leaves raked before or after that window have to go to the Borough's yard waste area along the Ohio River. Using it requires an annual dumping permit from the Borough office.

Rule 04

Mercury thermostats and chemicals wait for October collection

Beaver's weekly trash does not accept batteries, chemicals, thermostats or anything containing mercury. Each October, the Pennsylvania Resources Council runs a household chemical collection at Brady's Run Park. You must register in advance, and registration can close before event day.

Rule 05

Spring Clean Up Days split the borough at Third Street

Beaver's yearly bulk collection happens on two Saturdays in May. The River side of Third Street goes first, and the Hill side goes a week later. Set items neatly at the curb the evening before. Mattresses, building materials and propane tanks are not accepted.

Rule 06

County e-waste drop-off limits residents to two items yearly

Beaver's weekly trash does not accept electronic devices. The Beaver County Recycling Center at Brady's Run takes televisions, computer equipment and printers. Each county resident can drop off two electronics per year with proof of residency, and you can't drop off items for someone else.

Not unless it is part of your regular trash service. Bulky items set out without arrangement can be treated as illegal dumping under Pennsylvania law. Check with Beaver Borough or your hauler for bulk rules, since I could not confirm a borough bulk program.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Beaver starts at $80, and curbside or driveway pickup takes a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. The exact total is confirmed before booking.

Sometimes, depending on Loader availability near Beaver on the day you book. Enter your address during booking to see the live time slots for your location. Next-day and later slots are generally easier to get than same-day.

Not for curbside or driveway pickups, since items can be left out with access notes. For items inside your home, someone should be there, or you can leave entry instructions when booking. Your Loader will usually message you before arriving.

Hazardous items like paint, chemicals, and batteries usually can't go in household trash, and many haulers also refuse large or heavy loads. Beaver County residents should confirm drop-off options with the county or their trash hauler before disposing of restricted materials.

Loaders aim to donate usable items to local charities and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance. Items that can't be reused or recycled go to an appropriate disposal facility. Donation and recycling aren't guaranteed for every item.

You choose your items online, enter your Beaver address, and pick a time window. The price is shown upfront before you confirm. On pickup day, a Loader arrives, removes the items, and handles the loading, so you don't have to lift anything.

The main difference is the pricing model. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King typically price by truck volume, often after an estimate. LoadUp prices per item online with the total confirmed before booking, which can suit small jobs. Large cleanouts may fit a truckload hauler better.
