The Problem

Getting rid of junk in Baltimore takes more than it should

You search online, call the village office, then the county, and leave messages with a few haulers who never call back. Weeks go by, and the junk is still sitting in the garage.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Municipal pickup schedules can work if your items qualify and your timing lines up. Most programs need a request in advance, limit how much goes out, and turn down things like appliances or renovation debris. You still have to drag everything to the curb yourself.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to come out and look before they give you a number, so you lose an afternoon waiting on an estimate. Then the price depends on how much of the truck gets used, and you won't know how full that is until the job's done.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Donation centers screen what they take, and they have good reason to. Stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and broken furniture usually get turned away. Even items in good shape mean loading, driving, and unloading, sometimes just to hear there's no room.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A roll-off sized for a whole renovation sits in your driveway for days, takes up space, and may need approval first. You still do all the lifting and loading. For one cluttered room, that's a lot of steel and hassle for a small pile.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Baltimore, from the village streets to the Fairfield County backroads

Out here, the nearest place to drop a worn-out sofa is rarely around the corner, and a pickup bed full of garage leftovers turns into a whole Saturday of loading, tarping, and driving. Your Loader skips all of that, carrying it out and clearing it away, because your Loader likes showing up for neighbors here.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Bulky items rarely fit in a trash cart, so where they end up matters as much as getting them out of your Baltimore home. Your Loader sorts by condition, favoring donation or recycling when local options allow.

Gently Used

Donation Pickup

Clean, usable pieces like sturdy dressers or working household goods may be donated when possible and when local options allow. Your Loader sets those aside for a donation channel instead of the landfill.

  • Tax-deductible receipt by request
  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Free up your space and help a neighbor

Visible Wear

Recycling

Items too worn to donate, such as scrap metal or broken frames, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates what can be reused as material from what cannot, since nearby outlets can be limited.

  • Materials sorted and recovered
  • Diverted from landfill where possible
  • Compliant with local waste regs

Heavily Damaged

Responsible Disposal

Heavily damaged, soiled, or contaminated bulky items, like a water-ruined sofa or rotted decking, go to licensed disposal. Your Loader handles the loading, so nothing is left behind at your property.

  • No logistics or transport to handle
  • No sorting or drop-off required on your end
  • Local disposal fees covered

Local Disposal Rules

The Baltimore disposal rules most residents don't know

Put the wrong item out on a Friday and it simply stays at the curb. These are the set-out rules for the Village of Baltimore in Fairfield County, Ohio.

Rule 01

Storm branches go out in tied bundles, never in a burn pile

Brush must be tied in bundles no larger than 4 feet by 2 feet, with branches 2 inches or less in diameter. Ohio bans burning yard waste inside villages, and just outside town daytime burning is prohibited every spring and fall.

Rule 02

Mattresses and upholstered furniture must be wrapped in plastic

Under the village's curbside guidelines, any upholstered item, including mattresses and box springs, has to be fully wrapped in plastic before it goes out. A sealed mattress bag or heavy plastic sheeting taped closed keeps a couch or bed set eligible for pickup.

Rule 03

Old tires, car batteries, and leftover paint stay off the curb

Garage cleanouts hit the village's uncollectible list fast. Tires, lead acid batteries, liquid paints and oil, large automobile parts, and household hazardous waste are all excluded from curbside collection, so these items need a dedicated recycling or disposal outlet.

Rule 04

Freon appliances need a separate pickup request and fee

Freon-based appliances cannot simply be rolled to the curb with Friday trash. Residents must contact Local Waste Services, the village's contracted collection service, to arrange a separate collection, and each Freon-based appliance carries its own per-item disposal fee.

Rule 05

Old glass dishes and window panes cannot go in recycling

Clearing out a kitchen or replacing windows? Window glass and glass dishes are not recyclable in the village program. Recyclables must be placed loose in the bin, never bagged, and plastic grocery bags should go back to the grocery store.

Rule 06

Move-out piles and eviction set-outs are not village trash

Bulk items are collected alongside regular Friday trash, but the village's contracted service lists move-in and move-out cleanouts, large bulk loads, and judicial set-outs from evictions as uncollectible. Landlords and tenants clearing an entire unit need a different disposal route.

Not unless your trash hauler has approved it. Baltimore is a village, and pickup is usually handled by a private hauler or village contract. Items left out without arrangements can count as illegal dumping, so confirm bulk rules with the village office first.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Baltimore starts at $75, and curbside or driveway pickup takes a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. The exact total is confirmed before booking.

Sometimes, depending on Loader availability in the Columbus area. Enter your Baltimore zip code during booking to see the live time slots for your address. Booking earlier in the day gives you the best chance of a same-day or next-day slot.

For curbside or driveway pickups, no. Leave the items out and add access notes when you book. For items inside your home, someone should be there, or you can leave entry instructions. Your Loader contacts you before arriving.

Most haulers won't take large bulky items, construction debris, tires, paint, chemicals, or batteries with regular trash. Ohio also restricts some items from landfills. Ask your hauler or the Fairfield County solid waste district about disposal options for restricted items.

Loaders try to keep usable items out of the landfill by donating them to local charities when options allow. Recyclable materials go to recycling facilities depending on acceptance. Whatever can't be donated or recycled is taken to an appropriate disposal facility.

You pick your items and a time slot online, then see the total price before you confirm. On pickup day your Loader arrives in the scheduled window, loads everything, and hauls it away. You don't need to arrange a dumpster or a truck.

The main differences are pricing model and booking flow. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King typically price by truckload and may confirm cost on site. LoadUp prices per item online and shows the total before you book. Truckload pricing can suit very large cleanouts.
