Gallatin County's open burning season runs March 1 through November 30 and requires an activated permit each burn day. Winter burning needs separate DEQ approval, and you remain financially responsible for any escaped fire.
Montana DEQ requires a state accredited asbestos inspector to inspect a facility before renovation or demolition, regardless of building age, with the report kept onsite. Regulated asbestos material must be removed before other work proceeds.
