The Problem

Circle Pines has junk options, just not easy ones

You look up the city's website and then the county's, call a couple of haulers, and wait on quotes that never come back. Meanwhile, the pile in the spare room hasn't moved, and another weekend goes by.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Municipal pickup schedules can help, but they usually come with limits on what qualifies, plus advance requests and set collection dates. Items like appliances or electronics often fall under separate rules, and you still have to drag everything to the curb yourself.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to see the job in person before they quote it, then price by how much of the truck you fill. You don't really know what you'll pay until they're standing in your driveway, and by then it's hard to say no.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Thrift stores and charities have to be careful about condition, so stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and broken furniture often get turned away. You also still have to load it, drive it there, and figure out what to do with whatever they won't take.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A dumpster can sit in your driveway for days, and depending on where you put it, you may need permission first. It can block parking, draw looks from neighbors, and you still have to lift every heavy piece over the side yourself.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Local Disposal Rules

The Circle Pines disposal rules most residents don't know

Unbagged garbage gets refused at the city's cleanup event, costing a wasted trip, so here is how disposal actually works in Circle Pines and Anoka County.

Rule 01

Mattresses and box springs are accepted at the cleanup day

Circle Pines residents with ID can recycle a mattress, box spring, or crib mattress at no charge during the city's Recycle/Clean Up Day. The event does not accept curbside recyclables, hazardous waste, or yard waste.

Rule 02

Fall branch chipping has strict bundle and diameter limits

Circle Pines picks up tree waste at the curb for chipping in the fall. Bundles can be no larger than 3 feet by 5 feet by 5 feet, and no branch can be more than 6 inches across, so bigger limbs need another disposal route.

Rule 03

Bulk items and appliances now scheduled directly with Republic Services

Circle Pines ended its curbside sticker program on March 1, 2026. Large and bulk items, appliances, and extra garbage bags still go to the curb. Residents now set up each pickup with Republic Services instead of buying stickers at City Hall.

Rule 04

Construction debris is routed separately from household garbage

Circle Pines sends mixed household waste to the Blaine Transfer Station. Construction and demolition debris goes to separate designated facilities in Rosemount and Shakopee. That means remodeling debris is its own waste stream, not weekly cart trash.

Rule 05

Drain snow blowers and ice augers before recycling them

At the city's Recycle/Clean Up Day, ice augers, snow blowers, and riding or push mowers are only accepted once the oil and gas are removed. Grills must come without the propane tank, and propane cylinders must be empty.

Rule 06

Small electronics have their own drop-off Saturdays in Blaine

On the second Saturday of March, May, July, September, and November, Circle Pines residents can take laptops, tablets, cell phones, holiday lights, extension cords and cables, and scrap metal to Recycle Technologies in Blaine. Photo ID is required.

Generally no. Junk set out without an arranged pickup can be treated as illegal dumping, and bulky items are usually not part of regular trash service. Check with your trash hauler or Circle Pines city hall for current bulky item rules and fees.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Circle Pines starts at $95, and curbside or driveway pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on charge, and the exact total is confirmed before booking. Truckload haulers often charge more for small jobs.

Sometimes. Availability depends on Loader schedules and demand in the northern Twin Cities suburbs. Enter your address during booking to see the live time slots for Circle Pines, which can include same-day or next-day openings.

Not for curbside or driveway pickups. Leave the items out with any access notes. For items inside your home, someone should be there, or you can give access instructions when booking. Your Loader will let you know before arriving.

Hazardous items like paint, chemicals, batteries, and motor oil generally can't go in household trash in Minnesota. Anoka County runs a household hazardous waste program for these, so confirm accepted items and hours with the county before dropping anything off.

Loaders aim to keep usable items out of the landfill. Whenever possible they donate items to local charities and send recyclables to appropriate facilities. What happens depends on condition and what each facility accepts, so the rest goes to proper disposal.

You pick your items and a time slot online and see the total price before you confirm. On pickup day, your Loader arrives in the window, removes the items, and hauls them away. You don't need an in-person estimate first.

Mainly the pricing model. Traditional haulers often price by truckload and may finalize the quote on site. LoadUp prices per item online, with the first item including the base fee and add-ons flat, so the total is confirmed before anyone arrives.
