The county does not accept wood, lumber, or building and construction materials at the curb. Dock repairs, deck tear-outs, and renovation scraps from Shady Side homes need a way out other than weekly trash collection.
Some materials are not collected at your home because they need special handling. If a cleanout turns up unwanted sharps or expired or unused medications, the county points residents to instructions from the Anne Arundel County Department of Health.
