Junk has a way of piling up until it's one more chore nobody wants. LoadUp makes it simple for Ferriday: see your real price upfront, pick a time, and get it gone.
You call city hall, look up the parish disposal options, leave messages with a hauler or two, and wait on callbacks that never come. Weeks go by, and the junk is still sitting on the porch.
Municipal pickup schedules can handle a lot, but they usually come with limits on item types, pile size, and timing. Appliances, renovation debris, and big storm cleanups often fall outside the rules. You may also have to call ahead and then drag everything to the street yourself.
Lots of haulers want to come look before they give you a number, and then they quote by the truckload. Your price can depend on how full they decide the truck is. You won't know what you owe until the job is underway or already done.
Donation centers look for items they can actually resell, so stains, tears, missing parts, or worn finishes can get a piece turned away. Few of them pick up, and the nearest drop-off may be a long drive. Anything they refuse ends up back with you.
A dumpster can make sense for a whole-house gutting. For a shed, a spare room, or a few heavy pieces, you're signing up for delivery windows, possible permits, and a big container in your driveway for days. Your neighbors notice, and you still do all the loading.

Around here, getting rid of an old sofa usually means borrowing a neighbor's truck, finding a free Saturday, and driving a loaded bed out to a disposal site. Add limbs left behind by the last storm, and it's a lot. Your Loaders would rather carry it out for you, because Ferriday folks look out for each other.
Bulky furniture, storm limbs, and old-house cleanout leftovers pile up fast in Ferriday, and where they end up matters. Your Loader sorts each item by condition, so donation, recycling, or disposal fits what you have.
Furniture and household goods that are clean and in good shape may be set aside for donation when possible. Your Loader carries them out, though local donation options vary and acceptance is never guaranteed.
Items that are worn or damaged but still have usable material, like metal frames or some appliances, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates them when local options allow.
Heavily damaged mattresses, waterlogged furniture, and rotted bulky items that can't be reused are taken for responsible disposal. Your Loader handles the heavy carrying out of your Ferriday home, shed, or yard.
A loose bag or mixed storm pile can leave junk sitting uncollected for days, and these rules spell out how disposal works in Ferriday and Concordia Parish.
Louisiana's waste tire program is overseen by the Department of Environmental Quality. It keeps whole waste tires out of landfills and is funded by a fee charged on new tire sales. Old tires also hold rainwater, which breeds mosquitoes in the humid river lowlands.
Outside town limits, the Concordia Parish Police Jury requires all garbage to be bagged and contained. It also states it is not responsible for loose garbage. Trucks stop running during lightning and bad weather, so unbagged trash can sit out through a passing storm.
Concordia Parish follows the FEMA recovery process after hurricanes and related storms. Under that process, storm debris is usually picked up in separate piles for vegetation, construction materials, appliances, electronics and household hazardous waste. Mixed piles can be left behind.
Concordia Parish garbage routes skip Ferriday's town limits, so households in town rely on the Town of Ferriday's own service. The town took over pickup after its contracted collector stopped service in December 2025, and it now collects weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Federal Clean Air Act rules ban venting refrigerant into the air. The refrigerant in refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners and dehumidifiers must be recovered before the unit is scrapped or landfilled. The final disposal site is responsible for confirming that recovery took place.
Parish garbage trucks only travel on Parish roads. If you live on a private lane or any other non-Parish road, the Police Jury requires you to bring your trash out to the closest public route. This matters most when you're moving bulky cleanout loads.

Yes, self-hauling is an option and is often cheaper if you own a truck. Disposal sites in Concordia Parish may charge fees or limit what they accept, so call ahead. The trade-off is your time, the lifting, and the trips.
Loaders try to donate usable items to local charities and recycle what they can, depending on what facilities accept. Items that can't be reused or recycled go to a proper disposal facility. Donation and recycling aren't guaranteed for every item.
