Junk has a way of piling up until it's one more thing on the list. Book LoadUp, see your price up front, and get it cleared out of your corner of Woodford County.
You search online, call the village office, leave messages for a couple of local haulers, and wait. One calls back, one never does. Weeks later, the junk is still sitting in the garage.
Scheduled pickups through the village or your hauler can handle some bulky items, but they often come with item limits, fixed dates, and rules about what's accepted. You still have to drag everything to the road yourself, then hope it fits the schedule.
Many haulers want to see the job in person before quoting, then price by how much of the truck you fill. It's hard to know what you'll pay until they're standing in your driveway, and some never return your call at all.
Thrift stores and charities have to be choosy about condition, so stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and older appliances often get turned away. Even when they'll take something, you still need a way to load it up and drive it to Peoria or beyond.
For one cleared-out basement or bedroom, a dumpster means booking delivery and pickup windows, a big container on your driveway or lawn for days, and possibly a permit. You also do all the heavy carrying and loading yourself.

In a village where everyone knows whose truck is whose, borrowing one to clear out a basement means owing a favor, and a trip to Peoria with a loaded bed eats the day. Your Loader carries it up the stairs and hauls it off instead. Neighbors here look out for each other, and your Loaders like helping.
Bulky items pile up in Metamora garages, basements, and outbuildings, and where they end up matters. Your Loader checks each item's condition and, when local options allow, sorts it toward donation, recycling, or disposal.
Furniture and household items in good, clean condition may be donated when possible or where local options allow. Your Loader carries them out, but donation is not guaranteed and depends on what's available nearby.
Items that are worn or damaged but not fit for donation, such as old electronics or appliances, may be reused or recycled where available. Your Loader separates them during loading, though recycling is not guaranteed.
Heavily damaged or soiled bulky items, like a water-ruined sectional or a broken-down swing set, are disposed of responsibly. Your Loader handles the lifting and loading so you don't have to move them.
Illinois law keeps electronics, appliances, and yard waste out of landfills, so the wrong item at the curb may simply stay there. These rules apply in Metamora and Woodford County.
During autumn, Metamora runs a leaf vacuum on constant route rotation while leaves are falling. Exact collection days are hard to predict, but residents do not need to contact the village to be added. Leaf piles must follow the village's posted pickup rules.
Since 2012, Illinois law has prohibited landfilling covered electronics such as televisions, computer monitors, printers, and computers. Cleanouts that turn up old screens or office equipment need a recycling outlet, because these items cannot simply be thrown in household trash.
Rural burn barrels are common around Woodford County, but Illinois prohibits the open burning of household waste statewide. Burning old furniture, packaging, or cleanout debris releases toxic smoke and can bring enforcement from state or local authorities.
Metamora collects brush April through November, starting the first week of each month and skipping weeks when a holiday lands on that Monday. Limbs downed by winter ice storms wait until spring, or can go to the village Organic Yard Waste Facility.
Illinois classifies large appliances as white goods and bars them from landfills until refrigerants, mercury switches, and PCB-containing parts are removed. An old basement freezer or window air conditioner needs that handling first, which protects workers and keeps chemicals out of the ground.
Illinois bans whole used tires from landfills, and piled tires that collect rainwater become mosquito breeding sites, a real concern during humid central Illinois summers. Tires found in garages or barns need to go to a tire recycler or collection program instead.

Not for curbside or driveway pickups, since you can leave items out with access notes. For items inside your home, someone should be there, or you can leave entry instructions at booking. Your Loader reaches out before arriving.
Hazardous items like paint, solvents, batteries, and chemicals generally can't go in household trash or a hauler's truck in Illinois. Large items may also need special handling. Check with your hauler or the Woodford County landfill for current rules.
Loaders aim to donate usable items and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance at local facilities. Items that can't be reused or recycled are taken to an appropriate disposal facility. Outcomes vary by item condition, and nothing is guaranteed.
