When junk piles up, it stops being a small chore and starts running your weekend. Book a pickup in Addison, see your price upfront, and get your space back without lifting a thing.
You check the village website, call about bulk rules, request a few hauler quotes, and wait. One never calls back, another wants to stop by first. Meanwhile the garage stays full and another weekend slips past.
Municipal pickup schedules cover a lot, but not everything. Some bulky items need advance scheduling or extra steps, certain materials are excluded, and everything has to be dragged out to the curb by you. If your timeline is tight or the load is heavy, waiting doesn't fit.
Many haulers want to see the pile in person before they'll name a number, then price by fractions of a truck you can't easily picture. You set aside time for the estimate, hope the final bill matches, and still might not get a firm answer.
Donation centers need items they can actually resell, so stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and broken furniture often get turned away. Even accepted pieces usually mean you load, transport, and unload them yourself, and whatever they decline is still yours to deal with.
A roll-off sized for a full renovation is a lot for one cleared-out basement or office. You may need permission or a permit, a delivery and pickup window, and space in the driveway for days, plus you still do all the lifting while neighbors watch it fill.

A village with this much park and forest preserve land makes you want to spend the weekend outside, not wrestling a sectional out of the basement. Municipal pickup schedules only stretch so far. Your Loaders carry it out and clear it, and they like showing up for Addison neighbors who would rather be outdoors.
Bulky items don't all end up in the same place, and that matters in Addison, where basements, garages, and business spaces fill up with very different things. Your Loader sorts each item by condition, favoring donation or recycling when possible.
Furniture, appliances, and household goods in good, clean condition may be set aside for donation when local options allow. Your Loader carries these out separately, though acceptance depends on what local organizations can take.
Items that are worn or damaged but still have usable materials, like metal frames, electronics, or scrap, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates them during loading when local recycling options allow.
Heavily damaged, soiled, or contaminated bulky items, like ruined mattresses or broken furniture, are disposed of responsibly. Your Loader hauls them out of the basement, garage, or yard and sends them to an appropriate disposal site.
Mixing yard waste with garbage or setting out banned items means it stays at the curb. Here is what applies in the Village of Addison in DuPage County.
Illinois bans landscape waste from landfills, and Addison collects it only from the first Monday of April through November. It must be kept separate from garbage, and sod rolls, root balls, soil, and large branches are not accepted in the program.
Planning a remodel or whole-house cleanout? The Village of Addison requires dumpster rentals to be arranged through Republic Services, its contracted waste company, so booking a roll-off container from a different company runs against village rules.
Illinois law bans covered electronics such as televisions and computer monitors from landfills. Addison's resident-only spring and fall recycling events accept CRT/LCD monitors and televisions, and the 2025 fall event at Public Works capped TVs at two per car.
Refuse may not be placed at the Addison curb before 6 p.m., so cleanout bags should wait indoors until evening. When a weekday holiday such as Thanksgiving or Christmas falls in your week, collection runs one day late for the rest of that week.
Fluorescent tubes contain mercury, which escapes when they break in a trash cart. At Addison's community recycling events, the village runs its own station for 4-foot and 8-foot fluorescent lamps, separate from the electronics and general recycling stations.
The village encourages residents placing large household appliances at the curb to contact Republic Services customer service first and describe the item. Weekly garbage pickup is unlimited, but an appliance is handled differently from bagged trash, so give notice before collection day.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Addison starts at $80, and curbside or outdoor pickup is a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on, and the exact total is confirmed before booking.
Often, depending on Loader availability near you. Enter your Addison zip code during booking to see live same-day and next-day openings for your address. Availability varies by day and time, so earlier booking gives you more options.
For curbside or driveway pickups, no. Leave the items out with access notes. For items inside your home, garage, or basement, someone should be there or you can leave clear access instructions when booking. Your Loader will notify you before arriving.
Hazardous items like paint, chemicals, and batteries usually can't go in household trash or standard bulk pickup. DuPage County runs household hazardous waste programs for these, so check current accepted items and dates before dropping anything off.
Loaders aim to donate usable items to local charities and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance. Items that can't be reused or recycled go to the appropriate disposal facility. Donation and recycling outcomes can't be guaranteed for every item.
Book online, choose the items you want removed, and pick an arrival window. You see the price upfront before confirming. On pickup day, your Loader arrives, confirms the items, carries them out, and hauls them away, so you don't lift anything.
The main difference is the pricing model. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King generally price by truckload, often confirmed on-site. LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. For large full-house cleanouts, a truckload hauler may suit you better.
