When junk piles up, it gets harder to ignore and harder to move. Book LoadUp in Wellman, see your price upfront, and get a quick pickup without the hassle.
It usually starts with a few phone calls to city hall, the county, and a hauler or two. One never calls back, another needs to come look first, and weeks later the pile is still sitting there.
City bulk pickup programs in small towns often run on limited schedules and may need to be requested ahead. Certain items like appliances, electronics, or tires can come with extra rules, and everything usually has to be hauled to the curb by you first.
Many haulers want to see the job in person before giving a number, then price by how much of the truck you fill. That leaves you guessing about the final bill until the load is already on board, with little room to compare.
Thrift stores and charities have to be selective, so worn upholstery, stained mattresses, or broken furniture often get turned away. Usable pieces may find a new home, but anything they decline still needs somewhere to go, and you're the one driving it there.
A roll-off container makes sense for a full teardown, not a single garage or spare room. Delivery windows, possible permits, and a big bin blocking the driveway for days add hassle, and you still do all the lifting and loading yourself.

Narrow basement stairs or a crowded shed with one small door take careful lifting, and your Loaders handle it. Every Loader is background-checked and rated by real locals in Wellman after each job.
Curbside pickup works well when you can move items to the end of the driveway or the edge of a long gravel lane. For a full upstairs bedroom or a packed detached garage loft, choose full-service so your Loaders can carry everything out for you.

In a town the size of Wellman, a Saturday hauling run usually means borrowing a trailer, finding a free hour, and driving a good stretch to a place that will take the load. Your Loader can skip all that. They carry it out, load the truck, and genuinely enjoy showing up for neighbors here.
Bulky items pile up fast in a small town, and Wellman has limited places to take them. Your Loader sorts each item by condition, so usable pieces have a chance at a second home and the rest are handled responsibly.
Furniture and household goods in good, clean condition may be set aside for donation when local options allow. Your Loader carries them out and loads them separately, though acceptance depends on what nearby organizations can take.
Items that are worn or damaged but not fit for donation, such as metal frames or broken fixtures, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates these from general debris when possible.
Heavily damaged or soiled bulky pieces, like a ruined sofa or a waterlogged mattress, go to an appropriate disposal site. Your Loader handles the lifting, so you never haul them yourself.
Taking city trash to the wrong drop-off site can mean leaving with the whole load still in your truck. Here is how disposal actually works in Wellman and Washington County.
Washington County's Citizens Convenience Center serves rural residents only and takes no city trash or recyclables. Staff can ask for proof of residency. Wellman's utilities page sends residents to SEMCO Landfill for recycling and solid waste information instead.
Iowa law bans burying yard waste in landfills and requires every city and county to make residents keep it separate from other trash. At SEMCO, brush such as downed limbs is accepted as wood waste if it is clean and no longer than eight feet.
SEMCO lists appliances under recycling rather than landfill waste and charges a fee for each unit. It also charges separately for each ballast. Plan for those costs when a cleanout includes several old appliances.
The city's monthly utility charge includes a curbside garbage and recycling bin, and pickup happens on Thursdays. Bins set out after the 7 a.m. start may be missed. The city lists N & N Sanitation as its collection provider.
SEMCO, the landfill for Washington, Jefferson, and Keokuk counties, accepts computers, monitors, TVs, printers, keyboards, mice, cell phones, stereos, VCRs, scanners and copiers, and camcorders. It handles these through its e-waste program, which is separate from its landfill waste.
SEMCO's household hazardous waste program requires a call before drop-off. It accepts gasoline, lawn and garden chemicals, oil-based paint and stains, pool chemicals, glues and tar, rust removers, spray paint, and household cleaners, so plan for these before a garage cleanout.

Items left out without arrangements can be treated as illegal dumping, so confirm with your hauler or City Hall first.
LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Wellman starts at $85, and curbside or driveway pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, and each additional item is a flat add-on charge. Your exact total is confirmed before booking.
Same-day pickup is sometimes available, depending on Loader schedules around Wellman and southeast Iowa. Availability varies by day and time. Enter your address during booking to see which pickup windows are open for your location, including next-day options.
Not for curbside or driveway pickups. You can leave items outside with access notes. For items inside a home, barn, or garage, someone should be there or you can leave clear access instructions when booking. Your Loader will message you before arriving.
Hazardous items like paint, solvents, pesticides, and batteries usually can't go in regular trash. Farm and rural properties often have these, so check with Washington County for household hazardous waste options. Loaders can haul away many bulky items, but hazardous materials are generally excluded.
Loaders aim to keep usable items out of the landfill. Depending on acceptance, they try to donate furniture and household goods to local charities and recycle materials such as scrap metal whenever possible. Items that can't be donated or recycled go to an appropriate disposal facility.
Pick your items and a time window online, then see your total before you confirm. On pickup day, your Loader messages you ahead of arrival, then removes the items from where they sit, whether that is a porch, garage, or basement. Payment is handled after the job is done.
LoadUp prices per item online and confirms the total before booking. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK or Junk King often price by truckload, with an estimate on site. For a large cleanout, a dumpster rental from your local hauler may cost less. For a few items, per-item pricing is often simpler.
