Loomis households put recyclables and garbage together in the grey cart. That mixed load goes to the Western Placer Waste Management Authority's Materials Recovery Facility, where recoverable material is sorted out, so cardboard does not need its own bin.
Loomis does not offer curbside household hazardous waste pickup. Placer County residents can drop off paint, cleaners, solvents, used motor oil, and fluorescent lights for free at the WPWMA Materials Recovery Facility, daily, up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per visit.
