When junk piles up, it stops being a small hassle and starts running your weekend. Book LoadUp, see your price before you confirm, and get it gone fast, Elizabeth.
You search online, call the borough office, leave messages with a few haulers, and wait. One sends a vague quote, another never calls back. Weeks later, the junk is still sitting in the garage.
Municipal pickup schedules can handle the odd bulky item, but they usually come with limits on what gets taken, how much, and when. You often have to call ahead, then drag everything to the curb yourself. That gets hard fast on a steep river-town street.
Lots of haulers want to come out and look before they give you a number, and then price by how much of the truck you fill. You never really know the cost until the truck is loaded and it's too late to say no.
Donation centers want items in good shape, so worn couches, stained mattresses, and broken appliances often get turned away. Most won't pick anything up, either. You still need a truck, some strong friends, and a plan for whatever they won't take.
A dumpster makes sense for a full gut job, not for clearing out one basement room. You may need a permit, it takes up the driveway or the street for days, and the neighbors will see your junk until pickup day finally comes.

Anyone who has wrestled a sleeper sofa out of a hillside basement, then white-knuckled a borrowed pickup down a steep, narrow street, knows why this is nobody's favorite chore. Your Loaders are happy to handle the lifting, carrying, and loading, because folks in Elizabeth deserve their weekend back.
Most of what leaves an Elizabeth home is bulky, awkward, and hard to sort alone. Your Loader looks at each item's condition, then handles it through donation, recycling, or disposal when local options allow.
Furniture, appliances, and household goods in good, clean condition may be donated when possible and when local options allow. Your Loader sets these items aside, but don't expect any paperwork from a donation.
Items that are worn or damaged but not fit for donation, like scrap metal, broken appliances, or old wood furniture, may be recycled where available. Your Loader separates what can be recycled from what can't.
Mattresses, soaked upholstery, and heavily damaged bulky pieces that can't be reused or recycled are loaded by your Loader for responsible disposal at an appropriate local facility, keeping Elizabeth cleanouts tidy.
A bag beside the cart or a TV at the curb can sit uncollected, and these rules explain why in Elizabeth and throughout Allegheny County.
Elizabeth Township's solid waste code requires bulk waste such as furniture, automobile parts, machinery, appliances and tires to be stored so it does not collect water, shelter rodents, or create safety and fire hazards while awaiting disposal.
Pennsylvania's Covered Device Recycling Act bars televisions, desktop and laptop computers, computer monitors, tablets and e-readers from household trash. Allegheny County Health Department sponsors e-waste collection events run by the Pennsylvania Resources Council, which require advance registration and may charge fees.
Elizabeth Township moved to automated collection, and Waste Management no longer picks up material placed outside the provided trash and recycling carts. Households that regularly overflow can request a second cart at no additional cost instead of stacking extra bags.
Allegheny County Health Department air quality rules prohibit open burning of yard waste and household trash. Elizabeth Township's code instead requires leaf waste to be separated from regular garbage for collection and composting, so fall cleanup piles need a separate path.
Elizabeth Township residents have access to an at-your-door household hazardous waste service through Waste Management, offered in addition to regular trash and recycling at no additional cost. It provides a safe route for chemicals that should never go in the curbside cart.
In Elizabeth Township, bulk collection runs during the second full week of each month, and residents may set out two bulk items per monthly collection. Items that need to go outside that week must be scheduled separately through Waste Management's bulk pickup service.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Elizabeth starts at $80, and curbside or driveway pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on charge, and the exact total is confirmed before booking.
Sometimes. Availability depends on Loader schedules around Elizabeth and southeast Allegheny County that day. Enter your address when booking to see open time slots. Booking earlier in the day gives you the best chance of same-day or next-day service.
Not for curbside or driveway pickups. You can leave items out and add access notes when booking. For items inside your home, someone should be there, or you can leave entry instructions. Your Loader gives notice before arriving.
Hazardous materials like paint, solvents, chemicals, and batteries usually can't go in household trash. Many large items and electronics also have special disposal rules in Pennsylvania. Check with your hauler or Allegheny County for current drop-off options before disposal.
Loaders aim to donate usable items to local charities and recycle materials whenever options allow. What can't be reused or recycled goes to a proper disposal facility. Donation and recycling depend on item condition and facility acceptance, so outcomes vary by job.
You choose your items and enter your Elizabeth address online, then pick a pickup window. Your price is shown upfront and confirmed before booking. On pickup day, a Loader arrives, removes the items from where you've indicated, and hauls them away.
The main difference is pricing and booking. Traditional haulers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King typically price by truck space, often confirmed on arrival. LoadUp prices per item online, so your total is set before booking. For large cleanouts, a truckload hauler may suit you better.
