Junk piles up fast, and hauling it yourself is nobody's idea of a good weekend. LoadUp gives you a clear price up front and a quick pickup, right here in Cold Springs.
You search for options, call the county, and leave messages with haulers who never call back. Your weekend up here ends, you drive home, and the junk is still sitting in the garage waiting for next time.
Cold Springs is unincorporated, so there's no city bulk pickup to call. Free county options usually mean following set schedules, sorting materials, and hauling everything down the mountain yourself. That's a tough fit if you're only at the cabin for a short window.
Plenty of haulers want to come out for an in-person estimate first, which is a lot to ask when the property sits up SR 108. Then the quote comes as a fraction of a truckload, and you won't know the real total until the truck is loaded.
Donation centers need items in good, resellable condition, and they turn away worn mattresses, stained couches, and furniture marked up by years of cabin use. Even good pieces have to get to a drop-off, and the closest options from up here aren't close.
A roll-off container means booking delivery and pickup dates, finding a level spot on a sloped, tree-lined lot, and leaving a big steel box in view of the neighbors for days. For one room or a single turnover, it's more container than you need.

Hauling a mattress down a winding mountain road is nobody's idea of a good weekend, least of all when you only have two days at the cabin. Your Loaders handle the lifting and loading so you keep your porch time. Showing up for the people who call these hills home is the best part.
Bulky items pile up fast in a cabin or second home, and where they end up matters as much as how they leave. In Cold Springs, your Loader sorts each item by condition, favoring reuse when local options allow.
Furniture, bedding, and household goods in clean, usable shape may be donated when possible and where available. Your Loader sets those aside first, though nearby donation outlets can be limited in a mountain area.
Items that are worn or damaged but still hold recoverable materials, like metal frames or some electronics, may be recycled when local options allow. Availability varies, so this is an effort, not a guarantee.
Heavily damaged, soiled, or moldy items, such as water-stained mattresses or broken sofas from a Cold Springs cabin, go to an appropriate disposal site. Your Loader handles the loading and hauling.
Bring the wrong materials and a free county coupon may not cover your load, costing a second drive to Sonora. Here's what applies in Cold Springs and Tuolumne County.
Tuolumne County sends green waste, including pine needles, leaves, brush, branches, and stumps, to the Earth Resource Facility in Sonora. Clearing defensible space around a Cold Springs cabin can fill a trailer fast, and the county's free dump coupons exclude landscaping waste.
With Tuolumne County's 2026 Keep Tuolumne Clean coupons, residents get one free trip of up to two cubic yards to Cal Sierra Transfer Station. A trip can include up to two bulky items, such as appliances, furniture, or mattresses, and up to two electronic items.
You can take tires to Tuolumne County transfer stations for a fee. When grant funds are available, the county holds Tire Amnesty Collection Days in April and October, which is a good time to clear worn snow tires out of a garage.
California doesn't allow TVs, monitors, and similar electronics in household trash. In Tuolumne County, Cal Sierra Transfer Station takes electronic waste daily except Christmas and New Year's Day. Groveland Transfer Station takes it on Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Either site may charge a gate fee.
The Keep Tuolumne Clean coupons don't cover construction and demolition waste, treated wood waste, asbestos, or business waste. The county sends lumber to the Earth Resource Facility in Sonora, the same site that takes green waste.
Tuolumne County holds a free Household Hazardous Waste and Paint Collection Event each year for residents, by appointment only. It takes old cleaners, paints, pesticides, pool chemicals, contaminated motor oil, and gasoline. You can also take latex paint to the Cal Sierra or Groveland transfer stations.

(678) 884-4738Not as a standing practice. Cold Springs is unincorporated Tuolumne County, so there is no city curbside bulk program, and junk left outside without a pickup arranged can be treated as illegal dumping. Confirm bulk options with your trash hauler or the county.
LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Cold Springs starts at $75 for a single item, and curbside or outdoor pickup takes $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on, and the exact total is confirmed before booking.
It depends on Loader availability for your address. Cold Springs is a small mountain community off Highway 108, so enter your address during booking to see which times are open. Winter snow and road conditions can also affect scheduling.
Yes, it helps to plan ahead. If you are away, curbside or driveway pickups don't require anyone to be home, and you can leave access notes. Larger or restricted items, like paint, chemicals, or propane tanks, usually need special handling through county hazardous waste programs.
Loaders aim to keep usable items out of the landfill. Depending on acceptance, items that are in good shape may go to local donation partners, recyclable materials go to recyclers, and whatever can't be reused or recycled goes to an appropriate disposal facility.
You pick your items and time online, and see the total before you confirm. Your Loader contacts you before arriving, then removes the items from inside your home, garage, or outdoors. For curbside pickups, you don't need to be home.
The main difference is the pricing model. Traditional haulers generally charge by truckload and may quote after seeing the job, while LoadUp prices per item online and locks the total before booking. For a truckload-sized cleanout, a traditional hauler can be a better fit.
