The Problem

Bellevue has junk options. None of them are easy.

You search online, dig through Metro's website, and call a few haulers. One quotes vaguely, another never calls back. Weeks go by, and the junk is still in the garage waiting for someone to deal with it.

Free city pickup is great, when it works

Metro Nashville bulk pickup programs can be a good deal if you're flexible. You request a pickup, wait for your scheduled date, and haul everything to the street yourself. Some items aren't accepted, and anything stuck in a basement or up a hillside driveway is your problem.

Traditional haulers play pricing games

Many haulers want to send someone out for an estimate before they give you a number. Then the price depends on how full the truck looks, which you can't really check. You often won't know the real cost until the work is done.

Donation centers are picky (rightly)

Local thrift and donation centers have to be selective, so stained upholstery, worn mattresses, and broken appliances usually get turned away. Even items they'd accept still need loading, driving, and unloading, which leaves you holding whatever they won't take.

Dumpster rental is overkill for one room

A dumpster makes sense for a full renovation, but for one cluttered room it's a big steel box parked for days. You have to coordinate delivery and pickup, possibly check placement rules, and then still lift every heavy piece into it yourself.

What sets us apart

Your price is locked before pickup day

Most companies charge by truck space, and the price often changes on arrival. LoadUp charges by item, based on exactly what you're removing.

  • Per-item, predictable. First item includes the pickup fee. Every add-on is flat, no truck math, no hourly rates.
  • Locked means locked. The price at booking is what you pay. No adjustments, no surprises.
  • No-obligation quotes. Big job or full cleanout? Text a photo for a guaranteed price first.

Neighborhoods Served

Serving Bellevue, from Highway 100 to the Harpeth River

Anyone who has wrestled a sofa down a steep, tree-lined driveway knows Bellevue's wooded hillsides don't do favors for cleanout day. Renting a truck and making dump runs on winding roads is a lot to ask of a weekend. Your Loaders carry it out, load the truck, and genuinely like showing up for neighbors here.

What Happens to Your Junk

Donation first, recycling second, landfill last

Bellevue garages, basements, and wooded yards hold plenty of bulky items, and where they end up matters. Your Loader sorts by condition, so reusable pieces, recyclable materials, and true trash each get handled sensibly.

Donation Pickup

Furniture and household goods that are clean and in good shape may be set aside for donation when local options allow. Your Loader carries them out separately, though acceptance varies and no paperwork is promised.

  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Free up your space and help a neighbor

Local Disposal Rules

The Bellevue disposal rules most residents don't know

A load turned away at a Convenience Center or a pile left uncollected at the curb can stall a cleanout. These rules apply in Bellevue and across Davidson County.

Rule 01

Free curbside bulk pickup stops at private roads and gates

The Davidson County Sheriff's Office collects old furniture, mattresses, box springs, and refrigerators from the front curb at no charge. It cannot enter private property, private roads, gated communities, or apartment complexes. It also won't take bagged items or, by law, items left after an eviction.

Rule 02

Brush goes out only on the quarterly route schedule

Metro picks up brush four times a year on a set route and makes no extra pickups. Limbs can be up to 4 inches across and 12 feet long. Leaves must go in biodegradable paper bags. Keep piles where rain can't wash them into storm drains or streams.

Rule 03

Metro Code keeps electronics out of the trash cart

Metro Code bans electronic waste from household trash. Residents can recycle old electronics for free at the East, Ezell Pike, or Omohundro Convenience Centers, up to 100 pounds in one visit per day. Commercial waste is not accepted at any Convenience Center.

Rule 04

Remodel debris has only one Metro drop-off option

Only the Omohundro Convenience Center takes small amounts of do-it-yourself construction and demolition waste, and it charges a fee. This waste doesn't count toward the free daily allowance. The Sheriff's curbside pickup also refuses sheet rock, roofing, and insulation.

Rule 05

Old refrigerators and washers can go free as scrap metal

Metro Convenience Centers take one bulk scrap metal item or up to three trash bags of scrap metal at no charge. Accepted items include refrigerators, washers and dryers, dishwashers, ovens and ranges, barbeques, and lawncare equipment.

Rule 06

Household hazardous waste goes to only two Convenience Centers

Only the East and Ezell Pike Convenience Centers accept household hazardous materials. Drop-off is free, limited to one visit per day and 15 gallons or 100 pounds. No center takes medical waste, and the Sheriff's curbside pickup won't take household chemicals or batteries.

Only through a scheduled Metro bulk pickup. Davidson County's curbside bulk service is by request, about four times a year per address, with a 1 cubic yard limit. Call 615-862-5000 or use hubNashville. Items left out unscheduled risk being treated as illegal dumping.

LoadUp pricing for junk removal in Bellevue starts at $80, and curbside or driveway pickup takes a flat $5 off. The first item includes the base pickup fee, each additional item is a flat add-on, and the exact total is confirmed before booking. Truck-space haulers in Nashville often run $150-$350 per job.

Same-day slots are sometimes open in Bellevue, depending on Loader availability and when you book. Entering your address during booking shows live availability. For curbside pickups you don't need to be home. For in-home pickups, someone should be there or you can leave access notes.

Metro's sheriff-run bulk pickup skips brush, tires, boats, cars, insulation and anything inside a garage, basement or home. Gated communities and private roads are also not served. Household hazardous waste goes to the East or Ezell Pike Convenience Centers, free up to 15 gallons or 100 pounds.

Loaders sort items and aim to donate usable pieces to local charities and recycle what they can, depending on acceptance. Items that can't be donated or recycled go to an appropriate disposal facility. Outcomes vary by item condition and what local partners will take.

You book online, pick the items and a time window, and see your total before confirming. Your Loader typically gives notice before arriving, then removes the junk from the location you chose, whether curbside, garage or inside the home. Payment happens after the job is done.

Often yes, if you have a truck and a small load. Metro's Convenience Centers set non-negotiable fees, with a 2.8% card fee (minimum $1.95). Hiring a hauler costs more but saves the lifting, loading, driving and waiting, which matters for heavy or bulky loads.

The main difference is pricing. Many traditional haulers price by truck space, which makes mixed loads harder to predict. LoadUp prices per item online, so your total is confirmed before you book. For a big whole-home cleanout, a full-truck hauler can still be a good fit.
