LoadUp has partnered with Plant with Purpose, a global nonprofit that fights deforestation, restores watersheds, and helps rural communities build a better relationship with the land they depend on. Every order helps fund that work, turning a junk pickup into something that plants real trees in real communities.

This collaborative effort aims to contribute to the global reforestation movement and address the interconnected challenges of poverty and environmental damage.

LoadUp: An eco-friendly junk removal company

LoadUp routes what we pick up to donation and recycling first whenever possible, instead of straight to a landfill. Our partnership with Plant with Purpose is an extension of that same idea. Junk removal doesn’t have to just be about getting rid of things, it can put something back too.

So far, that’s added up to:

• 26,600 trees planted, and counting

About Plant with Purpose

Plant with Purpose has spent years working on a simple idea: environmental restoration and poverty reduction aren’t separate problems, they’re the same problem. The organization plants over eight million trees a year (more than 50 million total) by working directly with local farming communities instead of just planting trees and leaving.

The results back up the approach. Families participating in Plant with Purpose’s programs reduce poverty by more than half on average. They also use 89% more regenerative agriculture techniques than families who don’t participate. In one study, that shift led to a 37% increase in crop yields. Tree cover is increasing across every watershed the organization works in too, a real reversal of the roughly 0.51% of global tree cover lost each year worldwide.

3. Plant with Purpose puts the funding to work planting trees, especially during rainy seasons when new trees have the best chance to take root.
4. Growth is tracked over time.

Trees do more than look nice. They pull carbon out of the air, hold soil in place, protect watersheds, and support the biodiversity that entire ecosystems depend on. Planting them at scale, the way Plant with Purpose does, is one of the more direct ways to fight both climate change and rural poverty at the same time.
